Sadhana is not just a physical workout; it is a discipline of the mind and body. This is a glimpse into my personal journey of purification and devotion—a reminder that yoga is an inner path.

The last day of my 9-day 'Gangajal Yog Sadhana'. After nine days of fasting with only Ganga water, the journey concluded with Kanya Bhoj and prayers by the holy river in Rishikesh. Om Namah Shivaya.

Day 9 of my Gangajal Sadhana. This body is made of soil and will return to it. This practice is a reminder of our connection to the five elements and the transient nature of our physical form.

Day 8 of my Gangajal Sadhana. A practice of fasting and meditation in nature, connecting with the earth by covering the body in mud, and drawing energy from the sun and the holy river.

Day 7 of my Gangajal Sadhana. Everything we see feels real, but it is not the ultimate reality. This spiritual practice is about peeling back the layers of illusion to experience the truth within.

Day 6 of my Gangajal Sadhana in Rishikesh. Surrounded by the Himalayas and the sacred energy of the land, the fast deepens, cleansing the body and purifying the mind.

Day 5 of my Gangajal Sadhana. Practicing asanas and meditation on the banks of the Ganga. The energy of the river and the mountains provides immense support during this intense period of fasting.

Day 4 of my Gangajal Sadhana. A reminder that worldly possessions stay behind. Only our 'dharma' or righteous actions accompany the soul on its journey. This is a time for 'swadhyay' or self-study.

Day 3 of my Gangajal Sadhana. Practicing asanas on the sandy banks of the Ganga in Rishikesh. This discipline is an act of dedication to purify the body and connect with a higher consciousness.

Day 2 of my 9-day Gangajal Yog Sadhana. A day of 'swadhyay' (self-study) and reflection by the flowing waters of the Ganga, sustaining the body with only its sacred water. Har Har Gange.

Day 1 of my 9-day Gangajal Yog Sadhana begins in Rishikesh. For nine days, I will have no fruit and no food, only water from the Ganga. This is a journey guided by the 'updesh' (teachings) of my Guru.

About Spiritual Sadhana: A Deeper Practice

My 9-day Gangajal sadhana in Rishikesh was a test of willpower, but it reflects the exact same discipline we bring to our studio in Delhi. Whether you are coming to us for medical relief or deep meditation, you will find that we do not just teach poses; we teach the method behind the healing. This means every adjustment, every prop setup, and every sequence is designed to align your physical body with your breath, ensuring you get results that last.
