Yoga is an internal massage for the mind and soul, not just a physical workout. At our studio, we blend ancient breathwork and Dhyan techniques to help you find clarity and calm amidst the noise of city life.

Namaskar Mitron. On World Meditation Day, I share a simple message on Soham Dhyan. As you breathe in, mentally chant 'So'; as you breathe out, 'Hum'. This simple practice connects you to your breath and brings profound peace.

This graphic explains the three kinds of Dhyana as per the Gheranda Samhita: Sthula (on a physical form), Jyotirmaya (on inner light), and Sukshma (on subtle energy). Our meditation classes explore these ancient concepts.

Students sit in a moment of quiet reflection during a group meditation session. Practicing together creates a powerful collective energy that deepens the experience for everyone in the room.

"Through meditation, we can train our minds." A student sits in Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose), a stable and comfortable posture for practicing dhyana and pranayama, allowing the mind to settle and focus inward.

About Dhyan & Pranayama: The Inner Journey

When you begin your Dhyan practice, do not worry about sitting in a perfect pose for hours. We start with simple tools, such as the Soham technique—inhaling 'So' and exhaling 'Hum'—to quiet the mind before we move into deeper stillness. It is about teaching your brain to shift gears from the daily grind to a state of rest, rather than forcing your body into a static position.

Our approach to Dhyan and Pranayama is deeply scientific and rooted in the Iyengar tradition, where alignment is key. We believe that if the body is not stable, the mind cannot find stillness. This is why we often start by using props like chairs and bolsters to support your posture, allowing you to breathe deeply and focus on your inner state without physical discomfort.

We explore the three kinds of Dhyana as described in the Gheranda Samhita: Sthula (on a physical form), Jyotirmaya (on inner light), and Sukshma (on subtle energy). You will find that these are not just abstract concepts but practical methods to improve your focus and emotional regulation. Whether you join our group meditation sessions in Rohini or participate in our guided breathwork classes, the goal is always the same: to help you build a consistent practice you can carry home.

Consistency matters more than intensity. By focusing on your breath, you learn to detach from reflexive, discursive thinking. This is how we support students struggling with stress, anxiety, or simply the need to reconnect with themselves. If you have been looking for a disciplined environment in Delhi to explore these ancient techniques, our studio provides the space to practice in a community where everyone supports one another's progress.
