About Specialized Yoga & Yoga Therapy
A lot of people get bored with the usual exercise routine—I get it. For me, yoga works when I can connect both mind and body. Like Mr. Iyengar said, action is movement with intelligence. That’s what I try to bring into every session: we’re not chasing picture-perfect poses, but real, useful change.
What I Offer
- I shape each yoga session around you—your body, your needs, your story.
- If you’re dealing with pain from injury or need help with recovery, I don’t just chase away symptoms. We look at the root, correct imbalances, and build you up, step by step.
- For athletes, I use asanas and breathwork for every stage—prepare, perform, recover. Many have found this a solid alternative to regular gym work, especially for alignment and injury prevention (yoga for athletes’ performance, Iyengar yoga for injury recovery).
- Women facing PMS or perimenopause get routines that target discomfort and build a sense of overall strength, not just flexibility (yoga for PMS relief).
- Dancers, runners, anyone who moves a lot—I make sure we pay special attention to legs, feet, and ankles, so your base is strong and stable.
How We Work
Sessions are rooted in Iyengar yoga. That means careful use of props—blocks, chairs, blankets aren’t shortcuts, they make the work deeper and safer. I give lots of details and step-by-step guidance so you really feel what’s changing. Restorative sequences are a big part too, helping with things like headaches or sleep.
I keep things real and grounded. Every body is welcome—no need to be flexible or fit already. If you want yoga that’s practical, precise, and personal, this is it.

My Story
Hola! We’re The Practice Room. Started out teaching yoga in the chaos of NYC, moved to Bombay, now here. The Gurukul tradition—teacher actually cares, asks where you’ve been, no hiding! That stuck with us. We got featured in The New York Times for working with Rohan Bopanna, but honestly, what matters is sharing this wild, deep subject. My Spanish is basic, mi español es muy básico, Sanskrit not perfect, but yoga’s language… that’s universal.
