Yoga and Traditional Kerala Sadhya Experiences
I combine my practice of Ashtanga yoga with the soul-nourishing tradition of a Kerala Sadhya. Join me for a morning of movement followed by a traditional vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf.
This is a traditional Kerala Sadhya, a feast for the senses served on a fresh banana leaf. It is more than just a meal; it is a celebration of balance and nature's bounty, featuring a variety of plant-based dishes that are both nourishing and pure.
Here you can see the flow of my Yog Prasadam workshop. We begin with a focused Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga practice to align mind and body, and then we gather to enjoy a traditional Sadhya meal together.
Namaste. I wanted to personally invite you to experience Yoga Prasadam. It is my offering of yoga with a meal, where we practice authentic asanas and then enjoy a traditional Kerala Sadhya. Please come and join us.
The classic Masala Dosa, a favorite for any time of the day. I prepare it the traditional way, served with flavorful sambar and a fresh tomato chutney. It is simple, satisfying, and always reminds me of home.
This poster gives you all the details for my Yog Prasadam workshop. It is a one-of-a-kind event combining a Vinyasa flow yoga session with a complete Sadhya feast, designed to nourish your body and soul.
I am making Unniyappam, a sweet rice snack from Kerala that I have known since childhood. Made with rice, jaggery, and banana, it is a taste of tradition and a staple at all our festivals.
A simple, healthy meal starts with fresh ingredients. This is a green sprouts salad with cucumber, tomato, and onion, brought together with a light and refreshing green chutney dressing.
About Featured
When we practice together, we do not just move through asanas. We prepare the body for the meal that follows. My workshops are designed as a full cycle of aharviharacharvichar—considering what you eat, how you live, and what you think. We start with a grounded Ashtanga or Vinyasa flow to build heat and focus, and we end by sitting together to share a traditional Kerala Sadhya, served on a fresh banana leaf just as I grew up eating in Kerala.
My approach to wellness is not complex. I believe yoga and food are two sides of the same coin. Whether you join one of my half-day workshops at our Juhu or Seawoods venues, or come to my home for a private Sadya, the goal is always the same: balance.
During the workshops, we practice Ashtanga Vinyasa or Mysore-style flows. This is not about perfecting a pose but finding your breath and rhythm. After the practice, we transition into the meal—the Sadhya. This is a complete Satvik feast with over 20 plant-based items, including Sambar, Avial, Thoran, and Payasam. I keep the food light, nutritious, and free from heavy oils or excessive spices. It is the food I grew up eating in Kerala, prepared with care and served in the traditional way on a banana leaf.
If you are looking for a yoga session in Mumbai that goes beyond just stretching, or a traditional Kerala dining experience that feels like home, you are welcome here. I keep my groups small so we can actually connect and talk about the food, the practice, and the life. My teaching is direct and hands-on, and my cooking is honest. No restaurant shortcuts—just fresh, home-style food that respects your body.
