Foundational Strength Training in Mumbai
Strength training is self-care, not a punishment. Whether you are mastering your first deadlift or refining your squat, I help you build a body you can rely on through proper mechanics and mindful movement.
For me, strength training is a form of self-care. Mastering foundational compound lifts like the deadlift is key to building a strong back and core, and it's something we will work on together in our one-on-one sessions.
This is more than just a workout; it's about pushing through challenges with kindness to yourself. Here, I am doing a cable squat, a great exercise for building lower body strength while maintaining tension and control.
Leg day is non-negotiable for building a strong foundation. This is a glimpse into a typical leg day workout, where we mix different exercises like dumbbell squats, lunges, and machine work to target all muscle groups.
Using the leg press machine is a fantastic way to build quad and glute strength safely. In our personal training sessions, we incorporate machines to complement free-weight exercises and ensure well-rounded muscle development.
About Foundational Strength Training
Getting the form right on a deadlift or squat is the difference between feeling powerful and just feeling sore. In my sessions, we don’t just count reps; we focus on the actual mechanics of your movement. We will spend the first 10-15 minutes on mobility and spinal health, then move to compound lifts, ensuring your form is spot-on before we ever think about increasing the weight.
Building Strength That Lasts
I believe lifting weights is self-care. When we train together, it is not just about looking fit—it is about feeling powerful inside and out. My approach is rooted in my background as a yoga instructor, so I bring that 'work-in' vibe to the gym floor. We connect with the body, find patience in the process, and push limits without burning out.
The Training Approach
- Compound Movements: We focus on the big lifts—squats, deadlifts, and lunges. These are the foundation for building real-world strength and a back you can actually rely on.
- Machine & Free Weight Mix: While I love the discipline of free weights, we use machines to isolate muscle groups safely and ensure well-rounded development.
- Mobility Integration: Every session ends with a dedicated 10 to 15-minute block of yoga-inspired stretching. This helps manage soreness and keeps your joints happy.
Where We Train
I offer 1-on-1 personal training sessions across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, specifically in Juhu, Bandra, and Andheri. If you prefer to train at a facility, I am available at Fitness First Platinum in Santacruz West. If you aren't local, we can get the same results through my remote coaching program with video form analysis and customized plans.
What to Expect
Sessions are strictly one-on-one. You get my full attention. We track everything—weights lifted, reps achieved, and your progress over time. Whether you are a total beginner who feels intimidated by the weights section or someone looking to refine their technique, my goal is to make you feel at home in the gym.
