Tennis Technique and Fitness Drills
Real progress on court requires sweat and discipline. My high-intensity drills focus on building your consistency, footwork, and match-ready agility.
This high-intensity drill focuses on speed, agility, and quick reactions at the net. I keep the pressure on to simulate a real match situation, pushing players to move faster and hit with purpose.
A private lesson focusing on forehand and backhand groundstrokes. I use basket feeding to ensure the player gets hundreds of repetitions, building muscle memory and perfecting their technique.
Here, I'm working with two advanced players on their volley and groundstroke exchange. The focus is on self-correction and maintaining rally intensity, a key part of our tournament preparation program.
This video shows a dynamic drill where players practice hitting on the run. Developing the ability to generate power and control while moving is crucial for advanced tennis.
A group of my junior players working on their backhand strokes on the clay court. This drill is designed to improve their timing and follow-through in a structured, repetitive manner.
Shadow swings are a great way to focus purely on technique without the pressure of hitting a ball. This player is working on his body movement and swing path for better shot consistency.
Fitness is the foundation of a strong tennis game. This clip shows one of our on-court fitness routines designed to build stamina and agility, ensuring players are match-ready.
Even during lockdown, the practice doesn't stop. Here I am working on my own volleys and reaction time against the practice wall, leading by example.
The practice wall is your most consistent opponent. It's the perfect tool for refining strokes, improving timing, and building endurance, as I'm demonstrating here with forehand drills.
Beating the heat with some intense wall practice. This is a great way to work on self-improvement, focusing on hitting mechanics and footwork without needing a partner.
About The Grind: Technique & Fitness Drills
You want a rock-solid forehand or that perfect serve? It doesn't happen by magic. Here, it happens through hundreds of repetitions. We don't just hit balls; we build your muscle memory through constant, high-intensity basket feeding and specific drill-based corrections. Whether you are struggling with your backhand or need to improve your lateral movement, these sessions are designed to push your limits and refine your game.
How We Build Your Game
Tennis is about more than just hitting the ball over the net. It is about conditioning your body and training your mind. My drills at Xtreme Tennis Academy are rooted in this simple truth. Whether you are training on our hard courts in Dwarka or sliding on clay, the structure remains the same: high repetition, immediate correction, and relentless focus.
Our Approach to Training
- Technique Correction: I break your strokes down into small, manageable movements. We use basket feeding to ensure you get enough volume to actually change your muscle memory, not just work up a sweat.
- Fitness & Agility: You cannot win if you cannot move. Our sessions incorporate ladder drills, sprints, and speed work. This is not just 'exercise'; it is tennis-specific movement designed to get you to the ball faster.
- The Wall: I often preach the value of the practice wall. It is the most honest opponent you will ever face. It does not miss, and it forces you to focus on your timing and follow-through.
Who is this for?
Whether you are an adult looking for cardio tennis or a junior player preparing for local tournaments, these drills work because they are practical. You will walk away with sore muscles, but you will also walk away with a better understanding of how your body moves on court. I offer a free trial, so come down to the court, see the intensity for yourself, and decide if you are ready to put in the work. No shortcuts, just constant improvement.
Xtreme Tennis Academy
I have been on the court since 2002, and my philosophy is simple: sweat is gold. If you are ready to put in the work, I will get you match-ready with drills that make you faster, stronger, and more consistent.
