Master Batting Technique and Build Your Innings
Stop chasing quick T20 boundaries. Real cricketers know how to hold their shape, pick the right balls, and build an innings that lasts.
To hit the ball from the middle of the bat, your body position is everything. I explain how bending your body correctly allows you to get on top of the ball and play a proper shot.
Boundaries are good, but singles and doubles build an innings. I teach the importance of running between the wickets and how proper calling between partners can turn a good score into a great one.
Power is important, but it must be controlled. Here is a batsman executing a powerful six during a net session, showing the result of a stable base and clean swing.

An open net session in progress. This is where batsmen face different types of bowlers to sharpen their reflexes and shot selection under pressure.

About Building a Batsman's Innings
If you stand too upright, you are hitting the ball with the bottom of the bat. This is a common flaw I see during net sessions. At our Noida academy, we fix this by training you to bend your body properly so the ball meets the middle of the bat every single time. It is not just about power. We use slow-motion video analysis to pinpoint your backlift and head position, ensuring your technique is solid before you even think about playing a big shot.
Building a Real Cricketer
Most players today are obsessed with T20 cricket, trying to hit everything out of the park. That is how you get out early. My philosophy at World XI is simple: if you cannot build a long innings, you cannot be a consistent player. We focus on the fundamentals—running between the wickets, shot selection, and the mental temperament to bat through an entire session.
Why Technique Matters
- Video Analysis: We don't just tell you what's wrong; we show you. We record your stance and movement, then break it down frame-by-frame. You will see exactly why your head is falling over or why your bat is coming down from the wrong angle.
- Turf Wicket Practice: You cannot learn to play real cricket on concrete. We provide four turf wickets at our Noida ground so you get used to the bounce, pace, and movement of a real pitch.
- Beyond the Nets: Batting is a mind game. We run match scenarios that force you to think about rotating the strike, taking singles, and controlling your aggression. Whether you are a beginner or looking to break into local league cricket, we build your foundation from the ground up.
The Focus
We are here for the players who want to reach the next level, whether that means IPL net trials or district selection. If you are serious about your cricket career, come to the nets, put in the hard work, and let's get your basics right.
