Stop guessing and start working. We focus on the basics that actually get you selected—footwork, patience, and timing—using drills that expose every flaw in your game.

Your timing will always be poor if you make these three mistakes: gripping the bat too tight, playing too early or too late, and incorrect foot placement. This video shows you how to fix them.

A closer look at the common mistakes that ruin a batsman's timing. We focus on drills that correct your grip, footwork, and contact point under the eyes for perfect timing.

Timing is more important than brute force. To master it, we practice with a variety of balls: plastic, rubber, tennis, and leather. This drill forces you to adjust and helps develop a natural flow and rhythm in your batting.

You can't score if your timing is off. Here are three drills using different types of balls and feedback from a partner to sharpen your timing and ensure you meet the ball perfectly.

You will never score big if you don't have patience. This video shows two simple drills, including the two-bounce underarm feed, to force you to wait for the ball and play it late.

If you keep getting out playing rash shots, it's because you lack patience. We use specific drills like this underarm feed to train your mind and body to wait for the ball and play it under your eyes.

You can't score runs and will never get selected if you don't learn to be patient at the crease. These drills teach you to wait for the ball, improving your shot selection and consistency.

Your feet are dead weight if you don't move them. This video shows two drills, skipping followed by batting and a footwork catch drill, to improve your agility and foot movement.

A detailed look at the drills that will change your batting life. We use skipping to activate your feet and catching drills to train your body to move towards the ball instinctively.

Most batsmen in India ignore these fundamental footwork drills. Here, I show you how to use skipping and catching exercises to get your feet moving correctly and build a strong batting foundation.

About Batting Masterclass: Drills for Core Fundamentals

Most batsmen think they need fancy shots to score, but the reality is simpler: if your feet aren't moving, you’re just waiting to get out. We don’t care if you have a perfect cover drive in the nets if you can’t adjust your stance on a slow, turning track. The drills here are about building muscle memory so your feet move instinctively before you even realize the ball is turning.

Why Your Basics Are Failing

You might be hitting hundreds of balls in the nets, but if your timing is inconsistent, you aren't ready for a match. Most cricketers in India ignore the fundamentals of footwork and strike rotation, only to panic when the ball doesn't come onto the bat.

The Three-Pillar Approach

We break your game down into three non-negotiable areas:

  • Timing: Stop relying on brute force. We use the 'Under-the-Eyes' connection principle, teaching you to wait for the ball rather than committing early. This forces you to play late and minimizes mistimed shots.
  • Footwork: If your feet are static, your defense is weak. We use skipping and agility drills to ensure your foot placement is instinctive. You need to be able to reach the pitch of the ball, especially on the slow wickets common in Bishnuli and Chhapraula.
  • Patience: The most underrated skill. Using our 'two-bounce' underarm feed drills, we train you to stay stable in your stance. This stops you from fishing for balls outside off-stump and keeps you focused on building a long innings.

Training for Real Conditions

We don't train for Instagram highlights. Our practice sessions on cement and matted wickets are designed to simulate the challenges of real games. You will face a variety of deliveries—plastic, tennis, and rubber—to sharpen your reaction time. If you want to move from the nets to the match, you need to stop watching and start working. Consistency is the only metric that matters here.
