Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or refining your vocal range, our classroom sessions are where your journey starts. Learn theory, technique, and stagecraft in a supportive community.

Understanding the 'why' behind the music is key. Here, our guru Amar teaches a guitar theory class, explaining concepts like tones and semitones on a whiteboard to a group of engaged students.

A look inside our Theory of Music class. A teacher explains the staff and notes on a whiteboard to young, attentive students who are taking notes. This knowledge is crucial for any aspiring musician.

A glimpse into a light music class where students are learning a simple bhajan. The guru leads the session, and the students follow along, learning melody and lyrics in a group setting.

A student practices her Western vocal piece, "Let It Be," accompanied by her teacher, Seheraj sir, on the keyboard. This shows a typical one on one practice session in our studio.

A talented student performs a mashup of "Let Her Go" and "Husn" while playing the acoustic guitar. We encourage students to create their own unique arrangements of popular songs.

Two of our young Western vocal students introduce themselves before singing a cover of Taylor Swift's "Love Story." This is a great example of the confidence they build here.

A beautiful fusion of Kannada folk music with acoustic guitar. Our guru Sangeetha Srikishen sings a Janapada song, accompanied by guitarist Shivtej, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary styles.

Age is no barrier to learning. Here, our student Padma performs the timeless classic "Lag Ja Gale," demonstrating the vocal control she has developed under the guidance of Gayathri madam.

A group of adult students practice the devotional song "Krishna Nee Begane Baro" in a classroom setting, led by their guru. The room is filled with traditional instruments like the sitar and tanpura.

A student practices her Western vocal technique in our studio. These focused sessions help students master challenging songs like "Minefields" by Faouzia and John Legend.

About In the Classroom: Learning Your Craft

We teach you the 'why' behind the music, not just how to play it. In our small-group sessions, you will work through specific exercises—from breath control techniques for vocalists to music theory basics on the whiteboard—ensuring you build lasting skills rather than just memorizing songs.

Building Your Musical Foundation

Music is a language, and like any language, it starts with understanding the grammar. Whether you are aiming to master Carnatic ragas or Western pop riffs, our curriculum at both our Basavanagudi and Malleshwaram centers is designed to build confidence from the ground up.

What Happens in Our Sessions

We move beyond standard drills. Our gurus focus on:

  • Vocal Health: You will learn diaphragm breathing and range expansion, ensuring you develop your voice without strain.
  • Theory & Notation: We introduce you to reading basic notation and music theory, which is vital for any musician wanting to move from playing by ear to understanding complex compositions.
  • Small Group Dynamics: Our batches are kept small (4 to 8 students) to ensure every student gets personal feedback. You are grouped by age and skill level, creating a comfortable environment to learn.
  • Practical Application: You won't just study theory; you will apply it. Our guitar and keyboard students regularly practice with live band setups, learning how to handle gear and play with other instrumentalists.

A Space for Every Student

Our students range from 4 to 80 years old. We believe that no one is ever too old to start or too shy to perform. Our classroom is a judgment-free zone where you can experiment, make mistakes, and learn to express your unique sound. If you are preparing for certifications like Trinity College London or simply want to find your voice, our gurus are here to guide your progress every step of the way.
