This is the heart of what we do. Here in our Carnatic music class, young students learn the fundamentals of swaras and taalas with focus and joy. I guide them with the harmonium, creating a group learning environment where every child feels encouraged to find their voice.
As a performer myself, I understand the thrill of being on stage. This was me singing the invocation song at our annual Arnav Habba. I believe in leading by example and sharing the passion that drives my teaching.
Music is not just about singing, it's also about understanding the theory behind it. In this video, I'm explaining the concepts of Sapta Taalas to my students. We make learning the technical aspects of Carnatic music interactive and easy to grasp.
While I am trained in classical music, I also love exploring Kannada film songs. Here is a moment of me enjoying a melody in our studio. My classes also include light music to help students sing the songs they love.

About Featured
We don't do rigid, silent classrooms here. In our sessions, we sit on floor mats with a harmonium, breaking down complex Carnatic ragas or Kannada film numbers into simple, singable parts. Whether you’re a beginner struggling with your sruti or just want to learn devotional songs, you’ll find the space is relaxed enough to make mistakes and actually enjoy the process.
Our Approach to Music
Music is more than notes on a page; it is feeling and history. In my classes, I focus on building a strong foundation, starting with swaras and moving step-by-step through ragas and taalas. Whether you are a child picking up your first tune or an adult wanting to reconnect with music, we create a non-judgmental environment where you can explore your voice.
What We Cover
- Classical Foundations: We work on sruti alignment and swara exercises (from Sarali Varisai to Alankaram) to ensure you have the technical base to sing clearly.
- Light Music & Devotional: For those who want to sing songs they hear in daily life, we include Sugama Sangeeta, Devara Naama, and popular Kannada film song mashups.
- Theory & Rhythm: We use whiteboard sessions to make rhythm (Taala) concepts and counting mechanics easy to understand.
