Watch our students bridge the gap between classroom practice and the big stage, performing soulful Keerthanas and vibrant Indian fusion at our annual Kalaa Sangama festival.

Steeped in tradition, this performance features our students singing two Annamacharya Keerthanas. Guided by their Vidwan, they perform seated, focusing on the purity of the melody and rhythm.

A heartfelt patriotic performance by two of our young students singing "Aidu Beralu Seri." Their synchronized vocals and stage presence reflect the confidence they build at our conservatory.

Our guru, Vidushi Smt. Sangeetha Srikishen, stands proudly with her group of young students after their performance of Shiva Bhajans and Purandara Dasa Keertane at Kalaa Sangama 2024.

About Kalaa Sangama 2024: Indian & Fusion Melodies

While many music schools rely on recorded tracks, we believe the real magic happens when students perform with a live band. At Kalaa Sangama, our students do not just memorize lyrics; they learn how to interact with a rhythm pad, follow a live drummer, and project their voice across an auditorium. This environment bridges the gap between private practice and professional performance, building the confidence they need to hold their own on any stage.

Bridging Tradition and Modernity

Music is not just about getting the notes right; it is about the story and emotion behind them. At World Music Conservatory, we train students to approach both Indian classical pieces like Annamacharya Keerthanas and modern fusion numbers with the same level of discipline and passion.

The Kalaa Sangama Difference

Our annual festival, Kalaa Sangama, is where our curriculum meets reality. Students don't just stand behind a mic; they learn stage craft. This includes:

  • Live Accompaniment: Singing with live instrumentalists—guitarists, keyboardists, and drummers—rather than backing tracks, which teaches timing and adaptability.
  • Mic Technique: Understanding how to control dynamics and manage proximity to the microphone for clear, professional sound.
  • Cultural Heritage: Connecting with traditional Kannada devotional music, such as Purandara Dasa Keertane and Shiva Bhajans, under the mentorship of our senior Vidwans.

Our Training Philosophy

Whether you are a beginner or looking to advance, our approach focuses on vocal health and musical foundation. We start with diaphragm breathing, ear training, and pitch accuracy before moving to complex improvisations and performance styles. Our batches in Basavanagudi and Malleshwaram are kept small (4-8 students) to ensure every student gets direct feedback from our faculty. If you are looking for more intensive support, we offer 1-on-1 coaching to fast-track your progress for Trinity exams or specific performance goals.
