Our Story: How Wekins Homemade Started

When they ask what we bring to the table, the answer is simple: homemade recipes, authentic flavors, and naturally preserved, finger-lickin' good pickles.
About Behind the Brand
We started Wekins not in a factory, but in a home kitchen. When I moved abroad, my mom, Meera Ji, packed a jar of her special Lal Bharwa Mirch Achar to help me cope with homesickness. That taste stayed with me, and today, that same recipe is what we bottle for you. We were even invited to Doordarshan’s Vichar Vimarash to discuss this journey of preserving traditional Indian flavours in a modern world.
Our journey is pretty simple. It is about 'ghar ka swad' (taste of home). When I returned from abroad, I realized that getting authentic, preservative-free pickles without that factory-made taste was difficult. We decided to stop searching and start making.
Why the Kitchen Matters
We do not use big machines or industrial preservatives. Everything we make follows the old-school methods my mom taught me. We sun-dry the mangoes, hand-blend the spices, and ensure every batch has the same 'Maa ka pyaar' (mother's love) that started it all.
More Than Just Pickles
Being featured on Doordarshan was a surreal moment for us. It wasn't just about the publicity, but about proving that young entrepreneurs can build something rooted in Indian tradition. Whether it is our spicy Ramkela Aam, tangy Lehsun Achaar, or Khatta Meetha Nimbu, every jar is a reflection of the values we stand for: transparency, patience, and absolutely no shortcuts.
We are growing, but we are not changing. We still pack every order from our home kitchen in Ashok Vihar, Delhi, and ship it directly to your doorstep. If you are looking for that childhood nostalgia in a jar, you are in the right place.
Wekins Homemade
I started Wekins because I truly missed the taste of my mom's kitchen when I was living abroad. Every jar we pack is just an extension of that same love, made in our home, not a factory. We are just a family trying to keep the old, authentic flavours alive for you.
