Authentic Indian Folk & Heritage Wall Murals
I bring ancient storytelling traditions like Kalamkari and Mughal art out of museums and onto your walls. Let’s add some cultural soul to your space.
This was my longest mural yet, a Kalamkari masterpiece painted across the walls of a beautiful residential bungalow in Vashi. Every stroke carried the weight of history, retold in a new space.
A view from the top of the scaffolding, looking down at the intricate branches of the Kalamkari Tree of Life. The scale of this residential mural was immense, and so was the joy in creating it.
The base of the Kalamkari mural, where peacocks stand guard. This traditional Indian folk art style, usually seen on fabric, finds a new, permanent home on this wall.
A close-up of the Mughal-style mural for a fine-dining restaurant, featuring a majestic peacock by a fountain. I love bringing such regal and vintage elegance to commercial spaces.
The work-in-progress of the Mughal garden scene, complete with a fountain and lush greenery. This custom wall art was designed to create a unique, fine-dining experience.
A moment of focus amidst the scaffolding. My paint-splattered shirt is a testament to the passion poured into every detail of this large-scale Kalamkari mural.
The sheer height of this residential Kalamkari mural required extensive scaffolding. It's a challenge I absolutely live for, climbing high to bring heritage art to life.
About this collection
These large-scale murals are a heavy-duty production, not a quick sticker job. Whether it is a multi-story bungalow or a restaurant feature wall, I work with scaffolding and a dedicated team to map out every intricate Kalamkari or Mughal motif correctly. Because this art is hand-painted and requires specific material layering, we plan the timeline around your space's availability—it is a true transformation phase.
Kalamkari and Mughal art have traditionally lived on fabric, but I believe they belong on our walls. Bringing these delicate, historical motifs to a large scale is where the real magic happens. It is a fusion of heritage and modern architecture. In residential settings, like the bungalow project I recently finished in Vashi, I focus on the 'Tree of Life' narratives, ensuring every peacock and floral vine is hand-drawn to respect the tradition while fitting your room's aesthetic.
For commercial projects, such as fine-dining restaurants, I design regal, high-impact visuals that set the mood. My process starts with deep research into the specific folk style you choose. I don't just print a design; I paint it, which means we can adapt the scale and color palette to match your furniture, lighting, and wall size perfectly.
My mural services cover:
- Heritage Revival: Authentic Kalamkari, Madhubani, and Mughal-inspired paintings.
- Material Excellence: I use artist-grade heavy body acrylics and museum-quality varnish to ensure the colors stay rich for years.
- Custom Mapping: I adapt traditional patterns to fit tricky architectural features like corners, beams, or high ceilings.
If you have a blank wall that feels too quiet, I am ready to make it speak. Whether you want a single statement corner or a full-room immersion, we can jam on the design until it feels like home.

I’m Vritti, but my friends call me Sunflower. I am an artist who believes Indian folk art deserves to live on our walls, not just in history books. I travel across the country with my brushes to turn empty spaces into vibrant, cultural stories.
