Interactive Floor Murals for Play and Learning
I turn boring floors into epic battle-courses and playgrounds that make fitness feel like a game. Let's get those feet moving.
A wide view of the 45-foot epic battle-course floor mural I painted for Papagoya Micro School in Bangalore. This isn't just decoration; it's a functional art piece for play and fitness.
A close-up of me painting the bright blue and yellow circles for the floor mural. Every shape is part of an interactive game designed to get kids moving.
A time-lapse showing the creation of the massive floor mural. You can see the empty space transform into a colorful track of stamina and fun, one brushstroke at a time.
Painting through the night to get this interactive mural ready. The design includes instructions like "Jump x5" and "Scream," turning the floor into a game controller.
A section of the floor mural featuring a "Backward Walk" loop and a colorful version of Twister. This is art that you can physically engage with.
"Pop the Bubbles" and a giant hypnotic flower are just some of the playful elements in this floor mural, designed to spark imagination and encourage activity.
Another shot of me working late at night on the floor mural. The dedication is fueled by imagining the kids who will play here.
About this collection
I use heavy-duty, high-traffic paints designed specifically for outdoor play areas, so these murals do not just look good—they actually last. I map out the movement flow based on your space dimensions, incorporating specific action zones like frog hops or speed runs to ensure the design is functional and not just decorative.
My floor murals are about stamina disguised as art. Whether it is a school courtyard or a community center, I treat the floor like a giant game controller. I do not just paint bright colors; I plan the layout to facilitate movement. I create 'Pop the Bubbles' circles, 'Walk the Vine' paths, or giant battle-courses that build balance and coordination.
It is a collaborative process. We start by looking at your floor layout and what you want to achieve. Do you need a space for high-energy play, or something more meditative? I sketch out the interactive zones, ensuring the flow is logical for the people who will actually be using it.
Because these are high-traffic zones, I prep the surface with durable primers and finish with protective sealants that stand up to constant running, jumping, and the elements. From the first chalk outline to the final brushstroke, my goal is to turn empty concrete into a story that walks, talks, and keeps people active.
