We say yes when the world says no. From acid attack survivors to senior street dogs, we provide a home and dignity for 1800+ dogs who have nowhere else to go.

This is Veer. His story began when he was beaten by a mob and doused in petrol, seconds from being set on fire. This video shows his journey from the brink of death to the happy, thriving dog he is today at our sanctuary, a testament to the resilience of the canine spirit.

We rescued Lizzie after she was the victim of a horrific acid attack, which left her flesh burnt raw. We take on the cases that are too difficult for others because we believe every dog, no matter how wounded, deserves a chance to heal and live in peace.

This was the day we met Jax and Sierra. Rescued from starvation in Bangalore, they were skeletal, weak, and had lost all hope. This is the harsh reality for so many abandoned dogs and the starting point of their journey with us.

This is Jax today. Well-fed, healthy, and safe, his transformation shows what is possible with consistent medical care, proper nutrition, and a secure environment. His recovery is a direct result of the support we receive.

Lara was abandoned, tied to a petrol pump, and lost her entire litter of puppies. After being rejected from multiple homes, she found her final refuge at VOSD. Her story highlights the emotional trauma many of our dogs endure and how we provide them a stable, loving home for life.

This is feeding time at VOSD. Every day, we prepare and serve over 3 tons of fresh, nutritious food to more than 1800 dogs. This massive undertaking is the foundation of their recovery and well-being.

Goodnight from the sanctuary. We turn discarded tyres into cozy, clean beds for our residents. It's a simple, resourceful way we ensure every dog has a warm and comfortable place to rest after a day of healing and play.

Mohan was found abandoned in a drain after his leg was amputated. Today, he is safe with us but requires lifelong care. We are committed to providing for our special needs dogs, ensuring they live with dignity, no matter their physical challenges.

A moment of pure connection during one of our Open Farm Days. The love between our dogs and visitors is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. This is the virtuous circle of kindness we strive to create.

Sponsoring a meal is one of the most direct ways you can help. Every bowl we fill is a bowl of hope, providing the strength and nourishment our rescued dogs need to recover and thrive.

About Featured

We do not operate as a temporary shelter or a kennel. When a dog enters VOSD, they become family for life. This means we carry the full weight of their medical, dietary, and rehabilitation needs, regardless of their age or physical condition, so that no dog is ever pushed back onto the streets.
