Our Rescue Stories and Transformations
We don’t have a shelter, so our foster network is the heart of our operation. This collection showcases the reality of our rescues, from medical recovery to the joy of finding a forever home.
This is what it's all about. Maria, a sweet indie girl, sharing a moment of pure joy with her new best friend. Every rescue's dream is to see a dog safe, loved, and finally home.
This is Buddy, a retriever we rescued, experiencing pure freedom. After coming to us malnourished and sick, seeing him run like this reminds us why we never give up. He is now healthy and looking for his forever family.
Meet Kishmish, a 50-day-old Doberman puppy who was surrendered to us. We ensure every puppy gets a full vet check and is placed in a loving home where they can grow up safe and happy. She has now found her forever home.
This is Luna's journey. From a terrified street pup being stoned by people to a confident, happy girl in a safe foster home. This transformation is what we work for every single day.
This is Buddy resting in his foster home. He has complex medical needs, including a heart condition, and our work depends entirely on donations to cover vet bills and medication. Your support gives dogs like him a fighting chance.
Lilly, a German Shepherd surrendered to us, found her confidence and a new best friend, Luna, in her forever home. We love seeing our rescued dogs thrive with their new families and furry siblings.
We believe every dog deserves to be loved, especially in their final days. This is our tribute to Snowy, a senior girl we adopted. The time was short, but the love was infinite. Adopting a senior dog is one of the most rewarding experiences.
About this collection
Most of what you see here happens in someone’s living room or during a vet visit, not in a kennel. Because we operate entirely on a network of foster homes rather than a facility, every photo here represents a volunteer’s dedication to a dog's recovery. When you see a dog thriving, it is because a foster family provided the safety and transition time they never had on the streets.
Our work is entirely volunteer-driven. We do not have a physical shelter, which is why we depend heavily on our foster parents. Without them, we cannot take in dogs.
Why Our Approach Is Different
We don’t just rescue; we rehabilitate. This means a few non-negotiables for every dog in our care:
- Diet: We don't use kibble. We work with canine nutritionists to provide a species-appropriate, fresh meat-based diet. It makes a visible difference in their coat, energy, and overall health.
- No Cages: We have a strict 'no cage, no kennel' policy. Dogs need freedom to learn trust, not bars to constrain them.
- Medical Rigor: From blood panels and PCR tick fever screenings to major surgeries like orthopedics or neurology cases, we don’t cut corners. If a dog needs an MRI to understand why they are struggling, we fund it.
The Adoption Process
We are looking for families who understand that adoption is a lifetime commitment. We have strict protocols because we want to ensure these dogs never end up abandoned again. This includes house checks, legal adoption agreements on stamp paper, and a family counseling session to help with integration. We are honest about triggers, medical history, and temperament because the goal isn’t just to place a dog—it’s to place them in the right home forever.
PL Paws
We are a group of volunteers in Bangalore dedicated to giving abandoned and senior dogs a second chance. We don’t believe in cages or kennels, just safe homes and species-appropriate nutrition to help them heal.
