A beautiful design starts long before the henna hits the skin. Whether you are holding a cone for the first time or perfecting your own organic mix, I am here to share the techniques I have honed over the years.

This video shows how an instant henna tattoo is applied using a stencil. While I specialize in freehand art, I explain different methods in my classes so students understand all aspects of the craft.

A quick look at using mehndi tapes for aftercare. This is a simple trick I share with my clients and students to protect the design and help achieve a darker stain.

About The Foundation: Cone Control, Paste & Aftercare

Mastering the cone is not just about steady hands; it is about understanding pressure and flow. In my classes, we spend the first few sessions on cone mechanics—learning how to roll your own needle-point cones and mixing fresh Rajasthani Sojat powder into a consistent paste. If you cannot control the flow, the design will never look clean, no matter how intricate your patterns are.

Why The Basics Matter

I often see students trying to draw complex portraits before they can draw a straight line. That is where mistakes happen. My foundation training is designed to break that cycle by focusing on the fundamentals:

  • Organic Mixology: We do not use chemical-laden cones. You will learn to prepare your own paste using organic Rajasthani henna powder, essential oils, and the right water-to-powder ratio for that deep, dark stain.
  • Cone Mechanics: Rolling a perfect needle-point cone is a skill on its own. You will learn how to adjust your grip and pressure to get a consistent flow, which is essential for fine-line work.
  • The Aftercare Ritual: A design is only as good as the stain it leaves. I teach the specific aftercare methods—using lemon-sugar sealants and taping techniques—that help the henna develop the richest color.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe in hands-on learning. You will watch me demonstrate the process live, then immediately practice it under my guidance. We skip the boring theory and dive straight into the work. These classes are not just about watching videos; they are about correcting your posture, your grip, and your technique in real-time.

What To Expect In Class

Whether you join the 7-day introductory batch or the 5-week professional course, you are here to learn the same techniques I use for my bridal clients. You will get access to my studio practice boards, organic henna powder samples, and the specific tools needed to create professional-grade art. If you are ready to move from 'drawing on skin' to truly mastering the art, I am ready to teach you.
