Mehndi is more than a design; it's the story of your love written on your hands. I specialize in freehand portraits, doli scenes, and intricate bridal motifs that bring your wedding journey to life.

A complete bridal mehndi set featuring personalized portraits of the couple on the palms and figures of Radha and Krishna on the arms. This is the ultimate personalized bridal art.

A close-up of custom couple portraits. I teach the shading and line work techniques needed to create realistic faces that make the bridal mehndi truly one of a kind.

Watch the process of creating a delicate bridal portrait on the palm. This is a key part of my figurative mehndi lessons, focusing on fine lines and soft shading for a beautiful result.

A full bridal mehndi session in progress, featuring a detailed groom portrait on the palm and traditional patterns covering the arm. This shows the dedication and focus required for bridal work.

A compilation of my recent bridal and festive work, including portraits and figurative designs. This is the quality and variety you can learn to create in my classes, from Karva Chauth specials to full bridal sets.

A creative trick for incorporating the couple's initials into the design. This video shows how to blend letters seamlessly with traditional motifs like the 'Jai Shri Ram' symbol.

This design captures a beautiful moment, with the groom touching the bride's feet. Storytelling in mehndi is about these small, emotional gestures that I teach my students to create.

A happy bride asks me to hide her groom's name in the design. This is a fun challenge and a traditional part of bridal mehndi that I love incorporating into my work.

Another client moment where the bride wants the name hidden so well it's a real puzzle to find. This video shows the final touches on a complex design where the name is cleverly concealed.

Creating a full-figure design of a bride in her lehenga. This technique, which I cover in my classes, involves understanding posture, clothing details, and shading to bring the figure to life.

About Bridal Storytelling & Portraits

Unlike standard patterns, portrait mehndi requires a high level of anatomical accuracy and pressure control to truly capture a likeness. Because I draw these freehand based on your specific photos, we usually discuss the key moments you want captured—like a Varmala scene or a specific couple portrait—at least two weeks before the function to ensure the composition fits your hand perfectly.

When you choose storytelling mehndi, you aren't just paying for a design; you are choosing to wear a chronicle of your relationship. My process begins by looking at your photos to understand the facial structure and the emotion of the moment you want to recreate, whether it's a tender 'sindoor' moment or the entire baraat procession.

The Art of Figurative Mehndi

Drawing realistic faces, such as Radha-Krishna, Shiva-Parvati, or your own portraits, is a delicate process of 'ibadat'. I use fine-line technique to ensure that the expressions are visible and don't blur when the color develops. Every curve, from the groom's pagri to the bride's lehenga, is hand-drawn to maintain symmetry and 3D depth.

Practical Details for Brides

  • Customization: Yes, I can hide your groom's name in the design, and yes, it will be a challenge for him to find. We can make it as easy or as difficult as you like.
  • The Stain: I use 100% organic henna. Because it's natural, it takes time to reach its full color. I provide specific aftercare instructions, including the use of lemon-sugar sealants, to ensure that rich, dark stain stays vibrant for your big day.
  • Consultation: If you have specific scenes in mind—like a childhood photo or a special memory from your engagement—share them during our booking consultation. I work best when I understand the context behind the 'kahani' I am about to draw on your skin.

Namaste, I’m Vivek. Mehndi is not just a job for me; it is my ibadat (worship). I’ve been weaving love stories into henna patterns since 2013, focusing on every small detail, from the portrait's expression to the groom's name hidden in the design.
