Whether you want me to handle the sourcing of fresh fruits and sweets or you prefer to provide your own, I make the setup seamless. I handle the styling of 15 to 21 plates, incorporating traditional dolls, fresh flowers, and peacock motifs, so you can focus on being a guest at your own event.
My Approach to Seer Plates
When I work on a Seer Varisai or plate arrangement, my goal is to blend tradition with visual abundance. Whether it is for a baby shower (Seemantham), engagement, or Langa Voni (Half Saree) ceremony, the arrangement needs to feel balanced. I use tiered stands, usually in gold or silver finishes, to create height and dimension.
What I Handle
I offer two main ways to work together:
- Professional Styling: You provide the consumables (fruits, sweets, coconuts, betel leaves) and your silver plates if you have them. I bring the rental hardware, the dolls, the artificial green mats, and the fresh filler flowers like Baby's breath to tie everything together. I also use hygienic cling wrap to keep the fruit arrangements stable and fresh during the event.
- Turnkey Setup: I take care of the market run. This means I source five seasonal fruit varieties, standard Indian sweets, savories, and all the ritual essentials. I personally go to the market early in the morning to pick the freshest produce.
Why the Details Matter
The traditional dolls are the soul of the setup. I dress them in sarees that match the color palette of your event. If you have a specific theme, like a Krishna theme for a baby shower or a classic floral look, I customize the props—like peacock figurines and floral runners—to fit. My team and I focus on the 'Eshtu chanda bandide alla?' (Isn't it so beautiful?) moment, making sure the final display looks rich and festive for your guests.
