My Festival Approach

I’m Kalpana, and I show up at festivals ready to keep things real - from the music to the movement. For me, it’s not about nailing a perfect routine for social media, it’s about helping everyone have proper, connected dances. You won’t find stiff choreography here. I want people to get lost in the music and actually feel the vibe.

What You Get With Me

• I teach Latin dance festival workshops with a focus on real social dancing, not just memorizing steps.
• My intensive bootcamps are perfect if you want to dig deep - whether it’s Traditional Bachata musicality or Salsa con Afro bootcamp. We’ll break down the basics, get groovy with rhythms (expect me to use sounds like “unka chaka unka”), and work on movement that feels good in your own body.
• Performances? Sure. I do solo and team routines, plus lots of demo dances during workshops that show what connection on the floor really looks like.

Workshop Flavour

I specialise in Dominican Bachata, Salsa (On1, On2), Cuban Son, Afro-Cuban styles, and Rumba. I break things down so everyone can get it, no matter the level. We always dance to the music, not just counts. My classes are full of laughs, and yes, sometimes we get silly.
