About Channapatna Jewellery & Woven Bags
These Channapatna necklaces use adjustable cotton dori, which makes them much easier to size and style than rigid metal alternatives. Because each bead is turned by hand on a lathe, there will be subtle variations in the finish. If you are looking for a specific colour palette for an occasion, please check with us on current batch availability before ordering.

Channapatna Jewellery
We work with artisans to keep the 200-year-old lac-turnery craft relevant. These pieces are made from 'Hale' wood, a soft ivory wood that is turned on a lathe and finished with vibrant, organic dyes. Unlike heavy metal jewellery, these necklaces and bangles are incredibly lightweight. You will notice a gentle wooden sound when you wear the bangles, a sensory detail that reminds you they are made from nature, not mass-produced plastic.
Chettinad Woven Bags
Functionality matters as much as the weave. We use high-grade plastic wire for our totes, employing the traditional Chettinad knotting technique. This creates a rigid, water-resistant structure that stands upright, making them reliable laptop bags or beach totes.
