Forget static poses. We flow, play, and build real functional strength together. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned yogi, there is a mat waiting for you.

Yoga is not just about the poses, but the transitions between them. The real goal is to find stillness and presence even in the most challenging flows.

The elephant pose from the martial art Kalaripayattu is a serious quad workout. To make it even more challenging, we stack the elephants!

Shalabhasana (Locust Pose) requires significant back and core strength. Here, my students are holding the pose, lifting their legs and chest off the floor.

A variation of Gajasana, the elephant pose. This deep squat builds serious strength in the legs and core while opening the hips.

Uthita Hasta Padangusthasana (Extended Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose) is all about breath, gaze, and locks (Ujjayi, Drishti, Bandhas). A true test of balance and focus.

A compilation of advanced poses to celebrate World Yoga Day, showcasing the strength, flexibility, and dedication that comes from a consistent practice.

The funky lizard pose is an arm balance that builds strength in the arms and core while testing your balance. A fun and challenging posture to work towards.

When I'm waiting for a student at her gym, I can't resist a quick workout. A few kettlebell swings to get the energy flowing.

A fun partner pose combining downward dog with a handstand press. This builds trust, communication, and a lot of upper body strength.

My student Charles holding a strong handstand against the wall. Handstands are incredible for building shoulder stability, core strength, and reversing blood flow.

About Strength, Flow & Fun

Notice how we use yoga blocks, ropes, and walls in these flows? That is not just for show. I use props because they bridge the gap between where your body is today and where you want it to be. They keep you safe, help you find correct alignment, and let you explore advanced inversions or arm balances without the fear of injury. It makes the practice accessible to everyone, regardless of your starting point.

Why We Move This Way

Yoga is often misunderstood as just stretching. In my classes, we treat the mat as a playground. We combine the discipline of Ashtanga Vinyasa with functional movements like animal walks, HIIT bursts, and even martial arts kicks. This is not just about flexibility; it is about building a body that can handle real life.

Using Props for Freedom

If you see us using ropes, chairs, or bricks, know this: props are not a sign of weakness. They are tools for precision. They allow us to hold poses longer, go deeper, and correct imbalances without putting unnecessary stress on your joints. Whether we are working on a Shalabhasana (Locust Pose) or trying a Tittibhasana (Firefly Pose), the goal is always the same—strong core, steady breath, and a mind that stays calm even when the body is challenged.

The Community Vibe

We practice together in Bandra and Khar West, and the energy is different than a solo session. We sweat, we laugh, and we support each other. If you are struggling with a transition or stuck on a pose, you will have the whole room cheering you on. That is the Ubuntu philosophy in action: I am because we are.

What to Expect

  • Dynamic Flows: We build heat, work on transitions, and test your endurance.
  • Functional Strength: We focus on the spine, shoulders, and hips.
  • Inversions & Arm Balances: We learn the mechanics safely, starting with foundations.
  • Mind-Body Connection: We finish every session with pranayama and a quiet mind.

Come as you are. Let's move together. Chalo utho!

I’m Vandana. My own recovery from a back injury taught me that yoga is for every body, not just the flexible ones. I’m here to help you get strong, stay safe, and maybe have a little fun while we’re at it.
