About From Workshop to Home
We build every piece right here in our Arekere workshop, so you are not buying from a catalog—you are buying from the makers. This means you can drop by to see your teak or rubberwood furniture in its raw state before we apply the final finish.
Our process is built on transparency. When you choose to get furniture made with us, you are part of the journey from the first sketch to the final install.
The Workshop Experience
Everything happens in our Bengaluru workshop. Whether it is a teak dining set or a custom wardrobe, you can visit us in Arekere to see the material quality first-hand. You will see how we treat our wood—using kiln-dried solid teak and rubberwood—and watch our master artisans hand-weave the rattan.
Why This Matters
Most furniture comes from a factory line where you have no say. Here, because we are the ones cutting, sanding, and assembling, you have total control. If you want a specific height for your dining bench or a particular grain pattern on your wardrobe doors, we can adjust it during the build.
Sustainability in Practice
We don't believe in waste. We use natural finishes, hand-painted details, and locally sourced materials. When you visit, you won't see fancy showrooms with air conditioning; you will see sawdust, tools, and the genuine effort that goes into creating furniture with soul. It is honest, it is practical, and it is built to last for generations.
Tropic Responses
I’m Sanjay Jain. I believe furniture should not just occupy a room but belong in it. At Tropic Responses, we keep our doors open in our Arekere workshop so you can see exactly how we turn raw teak and cane into the pieces you will live with.
