Materials & Artisanal Detailing
We keep it natural and sustainable. Mostly work with teak and rubberwood, add touches like rattan and cane (sometimes imported from Indonesia), and top it off with fine veneers. Our team—and a network of master artisans from Rajasthan, UP, and more—bring in those handcrafted home decor details, like hand-painted handles.
Our Style & Process
Think warm minimalism: earthy, calm, timeless, with pops of color to break the rules. We start with your ideas, draw out the plan, then our artisans get cracking. Uske alawa (and besides), we plan around your life, so storage, finishes, and layout are all about what works for you. Everything comes together in-house, ending with a smooth install.

My Story
We kicked off Tropic Responses in 2011, ek simple idea tha—let’s make homes that belong to the tropics, not just sit on it. For me, architecture is all about using mitti (earth), local hands, and culture. Like at Ekadanta, we made bricks from the same land—Mumbai ka lime, Rajasthan ka wood, Kerala ka oxide. People say sustainable homes can’t be posh—challenge accepted! It’s about making luxury gentle on the earth. And ya, teaching young architects? Always a joy.
My Work
What We Do - Architecture, interiors, climate-responsive design, bespoke furniture, landscape—residential and commercial. All eco-friendly, all custom.
Luxury Meets Sustainability - We blend modern comforts with eco-conscious living—think climate-responsive architecture that doesn’t compromise on style.
Local Materials, Vernacular Vibe - Walls from your own earth, natural ventilation design, roofs that feel like they grew there. Vernacular home design is our jam.
Collaboration All the Way - We plan, we 3D render, we listen. Every choice—from layout to custom oxide flooring—is a team effort.
Details Make the Home - Handcrafted furniture for eco homes, painted handles, unique tiles. Small touches, big soul.
