A curated selection of our most meaningful projects, showcasing how sustainable materials and traditional craftsmanship transform a house into a home.

This handcrafted teak and rattan swing is more than a piece of furniture; it's a peaceful corner for reflection. Set against a vaulted brick ceiling and patterned cement tiles, it captures our love for natural materials, sunlit spaces, and creating furniture with a soul.

An open-plan living space designed for connection and calm. We crafted the custom grey sectional sofa and the solid wood coffee table to anchor the room, while wooden arches create a seamless flow into the dining area, embodying our warm minimalist approach.

The smallest details tell the biggest stories. These custom wardrobe handles were hand-painted by artisans, turning a functional element into a unique piece of art that adds a personal, floral touch to the bedroom.

We believe functional spaces can also be joyful. This kitchen design uses a bold peacock blue, balanced with the warmth of rubberwood cabinets and a spacious black granite breakfast counter, creating an energetic yet practical heart of the home.

A master bedroom designed as a serene retreat. We used a custom-designed teak wood bed with an integrated art piece and a bay window seat to create a space that is both restful and full of personality, grounded by natural Kota stone flooring.

Designing for the youngest members of the family is always a joy. This children's room features a custom-built bunk bed to maximize play space, a cozy window seat for reading, and whimsical wall art to spark imagination.

We believe our work is best described by the families who live in the homes we design. In this video, our clients from Villa 17 share their experience of collaborating with us, from initial space planning to the final artisanal details.

A glimpse into our process for the Greek-inspired 'AGA' project. This arched door, featuring Indonesian rattan, is set against lime-plastered walls, showcasing how we bring together materials and craftspeople from across the country to create a cohesive story.

A quick look at some of our bespoke teak and rattan furniture. From indoor swings and dining sets to sofas and side tables, every piece is designed in our Bengaluru workshop and built to become a timeless part of your home.

About Featured

When we start a project, we don't just pick items from a catalogue. We look at your daily routines, then sketch custom solutions—like specific bay window seating or hand-painted storage handles—that we build right here in our Arekere workshop. This ensures that every chair, sofa, or cabinet isn't just aesthetic, but fits exactly how you live.

Our approach isn't about following trends; it's about building spaces that breathe. Whether it is a compact city apartment or a sprawling villa, our design philosophy centres on climate-responsive architecture and vernacular techniques. We believe that sustainable living shouldn't feel like a compromise on luxury.

The Design Process

It begins with a conversation. We map out your spatial needs, 3D render the concepts, and then our artisans get to work. We prioritize local materials like teak and rubberwood, often sourcing rattan and cane for that signature warm, minimalist finish. By controlling the entire process from design to installation, we ensure quality while keeping the carbon footprint low.

Artistry in Execution

We take pride in the small things that define a home. From the mortar in the brickwork to the hand-painted motifs on wardrobe handles, these details create a narrative. Our team specializes in:

  • Custom Furniture: Solid teak sofas, rattan-back chairs, and dining sets made-to-measure.
  • Spatial Planning: Rethinking layouts to maximize natural ventilation and light.
  • Material Integrity: Using reclaimed wood, stone, and non-toxic finishes.

We are deeply invested in teaching the next generation of architects and sharing the value of local craftsmanship. If you are looking to build a home that is as conscious as it is beautiful, let's talk.

We are a team of architects and artisans who believe homes should belong to the tropics, not just sit on them. We don't just design spaces; we craft them using local mitti (earth), wood, and cultural techniques to ensure your home feels like it grew there.
