About Custom Furniture Design
At Studio Goya, I see furniture as more than just stuff you put in a room. Every piece should feel like it’s part of your story—something that fits you, not just a catalogue. ‘Goya’ means that moment when a story feels so real you forget it’s not, and that’s the vibe I aim for in my work.
How I Design
- Forget the idea of “matching sets”. I help you build a space that feels collected, not copy-pasted.
- Big on mixing styles: a bit of vintage romance, some modern calm, maybe even a touch of luxury if that’s your thing. The idea is for your furniture to feel intentional, not just trendy.
- Tactile matters—oak with its grain, real cane and rattan, marble’s cool touch. I want people to actually feel something, not just see it.
What I Make
- Seating: from velvet sofas with colour to minimalist couches, armchairs, sculptural swings.
- Tables & surfaces: live-edge dining tables, marble consoles, sculptural oak coffee tables.
- Storage: custom built-in storage solutions, walk-in closets, floating vanities, puja units with marble inlay.
- Beds: tall velvet headboards, four-posters, wooden frames with cane, always with a sanctuary vibe.
Materials & Craft
- Only real stuff: lots of oak, teak, cane, rattan, marble, and brass.
- Fabrics: velvet, linen, classic patterns. Details matter—fluting, ribbing, scallops, tufting.
The Process
- Mood boards start it off. Then I share 3D renders so you know what’s coming.
- Sometimes, I’ll source pieces from places like Foshan if it fits the vision.
If you want something truly you—maybe a bit of modern vintage furniture design, or bespoke wooden furniture—let’s make it happen.

My Story
Hey, we’re Studio Goya. Our name, ‘Goya’, is all about that feeling when a story feels real. That’s what we’re after in every space. Started out in Bangalore, grew our team, launched House of Goya furniture, got a few awards, and got featured in places like AD and Elle Decor. Art, travel, and people inspire us. We don’t just design rooms – we build stories you can live in, whether it’s a bold bedroom or a quiet corner cafe.
My Work
Interior design & furniture - We do residential and commercial interiors and create bespoke furniture through our House of Goya brand.
Design style - No fixed look here. We go from maximalist interiors with layered wallpaper ideas to minimalist, intentional spaces.
Collaborative process - We work with artisans for custom lighting solutions, rugs, and more. Design is a journey we take together.
Details matter - Powder rooms, nooks, forgotten corners—we exaggerate, layer, and add personality wherever possible.
Real design, not just trends - We break design myths. Your space should be authentic, functional, and feel like you—not just follow what’s ‘in’.
