Behind the Lens: My Process and Artistic Approach

When you book a session with me, you are not just hiring a photographer. You are getting a creative partner who will climb ladders to fix lighting, toss fabric for the perfect drape, or make silly faces until your toddler finally giggles. My process is less about formal posing and more about creating a safe, fun environment where you can just be yourselves, and I am right there in the thick of it to document the real moments as they happen.

I believe that the best pictures happen when you forget I am even holding a camera. My approach to photography is rooted in connection rather than just lighting or angles. Whether it is a maternity shoot that needs careful styling or a messy cake smash where the goal is just to capture that one pure expression, I am hands-on at every step.

Over the years, this dedication to storytelling has led to some incredible moments, including being featured in Femina and winning Gold and Silver awards in maternity photography. These recognitions are meaningful, but they are really a result of the trust my clients place in me. My team is small—often it is just me, my mom helping with the props, or my husband assisting with the logistics—and that intimacy allows us to keep the sessions relaxed.

When we are on location or in my Kurla studio, I move at your pace. If your baby needs a break, we take it. If you want to include your pet or a special heirloom, we build the shoot around that.
