Behind the Lens: How I Capture Your Family’s Story
Ever wonder how I get those natural smiles? Here is a look at the real, raw moments behind my camera.
A short reel showing the joy I find in my work. For me, being a photographer means not just documenting moments, but truly living and enjoying them with you.
This reel shows how I create my signature perspective shot at events, a technique I've loved for over a decade. It's a little glimpse into my creative process.
A behind-the-scenes look at my first pre-Arangetram photoshoot, showing the setup and the stunning final results. It was a truly fabulous experience.
A quick reel where I share my top three simple props to elevate a kids' photoshoot, from favorite toys to bubbles.
About A Peek Behind The Camera
When you work with me, we aren't just doing a photoshoot. I don't believe in stiff, artificial posing because that's not how life actually looks. Instead, I wait for the messy, honest seconds—the way a child clings to a parent, the quiet focus during a traditional ritual, or the real laughter between shots. My role is to make you forget the camera is there, so your final gallery feels like an honest reflection of your family, not a performance.
After 13 years of documenting milestones, I’ve learned that the best pictures happen in the gaps between the poses. Whether I am shooting a naming ceremony in a bustling Mumbai home or a quiet outdoor portrait session, my goal remains the same: capturing the 'bhavas' (emotions) that make your life unique.
My Candid Methodology
I follow a 'no-pose' philosophy. I know how daunting it can be to stand in front of a lens, so I help you feel comfortable right from the start. We keep the mood light, use props if the kids need a distraction, and just let the event unfold. If it is a kids' birthday, I am down on their level, running alongside them to catch the real energy, not just the cake-cutting.
The Signature Perspective
Many clients ask about the unique angles you see in my work. That is my signature perspective shot—a technique I have refined over a decade. It’s not just a photo; it’s a deliberate way of framing your family so you can see the connection between you and your surroundings.
What to Expect
If you book a session, we aren't working against a clock in a rigid way. We spend time getting comfortable. I’ll guide you slightly, but the magic comes from your interactions. I capture the raw moments—the happy tears, the quiet hugs, and the unplanned chaos—and edit them with a focus on natural color and warmth. You get a set of images that act as a time capsule, preserving exactly who you were at that moment. No filters that change reality, just the truth of your memories, preserved dil se.
