About this collection
When I shoot a Christian wedding, I prioritize staying invisible. I use silent shutters and natural lighting to capture the nervousness, the quiet smiles, and the blessing rituals without distracting from the solemnity of the church service. You get authentic emotions, not just posed smiles.
Christian ceremonies have a specific rhythm. Whether it is a packed church in Bangalore or an intimate chapel in Kerala, the lighting and pace change. I use high-speed prime lenses that let me pull in light even in dim church aisles, so I do not need to use harsh flashes that break the mood. The result is a set of photos that look and feel exactly as they did in the moment: dignified and warm.
I make sure to capture the bridal prep, the entrance, the vows, the ring exchange, and the reception. I also look for the small details: the veil, the bouquet, the intricate embroidery on the gown, and the glances between family members. These are the elements that bring the whole story together.
