Authentic Groom Portraits and Wedding Details

The groom's story is an essential part of the wedding day. I focus on your style, the finer details of your attire, and those quiet moments of anticipation before the ceremony begins.

About this collection

Most grooms feel awkward in front of the camera, especially before the main rituals begin. I use this time for the 'get ready' shots to help you settle in. We focus on the textures of your attire and those few minutes of quiet calm before you head to the stage, ensuring the final portraits look natural rather than stiffly posed.

When you are the center of attention, it is easy to feel like you are just moving from one ceremony to the next. My approach to groom photography is about slowing that down for a few minutes. Whether you are wearing a traditional mundu in Kerala or a designer sherwani in Bangalore, the goal is to capture the details that you spent time choosing.

My Approach to Groom Photography

I use Sony Full Frame Mirrorless cameras with prime lenses to get that sharp, cinematic look. For groom portraits, I prefer natural light whenever possible. If we are indoors at a hotel or a hall, I use a portable lighting grid to create soft, defined shadows that highlight your features without making the photo look overly staged.

What to Expect

  • The Details: I capture close-ups of your watch, shoes, cufflinks, and the fit of your outfit. These are the details you will want to remember later.
  • The Calm Before: Before the chaos of the wedding, we find a quiet corner for 10 minutes. This is usually when we get the most authentic expressions.
  • Ritual Knowledge: Whether it is a Varmala, a Thali kettu, or a ring exchange, I know where to stand to get the shot without getting in the way of the guests or the rituals.

If you have a specific vision for your portraits or if you are worried about feeling uncomfortable in front of the lens, let me know. We can plan a few minutes during the portrait session to keep it relaxed and simple.
