I believe writing is a form of daily magic that everyone can access. Here, I share the philosophy behind my classes and how I help students find their original voice.

It was a surreal experience to be invited to speak with students at Gurugram University. We talked about the importance of organizing your mind and not letting wasteful thoughts take up too much space, a key benefit of a regular writing practice.

My love for teaching grew from my own love for reading and the power of words. I started these classes to share that passion and help kids see writing not as a task, but as a powerful tool for self-expression and fun.

I believe everyone is a born writer. You don't need to be a 'genius'; you just need to find your original voice. With modern tools like self-publishing, it's easier than ever to share your story and create a legacy with your words.

Let's bust some myths. Creative writing isn't just for "creative" people, it's not a waste of time, and it's not limited to novels and poems. It's a skill that builds focus and can be applied to emails, scripts, and so much more.

The story of J.K. Rowling, who famously sketched out the Harry Potter universe on a train journey, is a powerful lesson for my students. It shows that inspiration can come from anywhere and that every writer has a story of struggle and perseverance.

About My Teaching Philosophy & Journey

I don't use strict, rigid curriculums because your creative spark does not follow a syllabus. In my sessions, we often start with just ten minutes of sprint writing to break that initial fear of a blank page—the same fear I used to have before I realized that showing up consistently matters more than writing something perfect.

Why I Teach the Way I Do

I didn't start teaching to create a classroom full of textbook writers. My sessions in Gurgaon and online are built on a simple premise: writing is a muscle, not a gift reserved for the few. Whether I am working with a teenager struggling with an essay or an adult finally starting their personal blog, we focus on raw expression first.

The No-Struggle Method

My methodology is simple. We remove the pressure to be great. We use prompts, word games, and character sketches that feel like play, not work. This is crucial because when the fear of judgment is gone, the best ideas come out. I have seen students who initially thought they could not write a single sentence go on to draft complete short stories in just four weeks by following this step-by-step process:

  • Brainstorming: Mapping out thoughts without censoring them.
  • The Show, Don't Tell Technique: Learning to paint pictures with words rather than just listing facts.
  • Drafting and Editing: Treating the first draft as a messy step that we will improve together.

Why Consistency Matters

You do not need a fancy office or an expensive journal. You need a safe space. My classes provide that structure, whether we are meeting via Zoom or at my studio in Sector 113, Gurugram. My goal is not just to help you write better—it is to help you think clearer, manage stress through journaling, and build a creative habit that stays with you long after the course ends.
