Insights on our coaching philosophy, training schedules, and answers to common questions about starting your table tennis journey at our academy.

A common question I get from parents. I believe starting young has many benefits, and I've written about the ideal age to begin playing table tennis.

About Additional Work

Parents often ask me when their child should pick up a paddle. The answer is simple: if they can hold a racket and track a ball, they can start. Starting young builds natural coordination, but what matters most is not the calendar age—it is their focus during drills and how well they listen to basic instructions.

At The Reflex Arc, our sessions at Bhoir Sports Complex focus on disciplined progression. Whether you are a parent wondering about the right starting age or an adult looking to sharpen your reflexes, the approach remains the same. We prioritize fundamentals like the shakehand grip, proper stance, and timing over chasing quick wins.

Many people think table tennis is just about hitting the ball back and forth. It is not. It is about spatial awareness, explosive movement, and mental stamina. During our academy sessions, we integrate agility training—like ladder work and skipping—alongside table time. This creates a complete athlete, not just a player who can hit a forehand drive.

We keep our batches small, strictly capped at 12 students, to ensure every person gets direct correction. When I say "Ball dekh" (Watch the ball), I mean it. If you are struggling with your backhand push or need to improve your topspin, we break the movement down. No fluff, just technical work.

If you are curious about our coaching philosophy, how we handle beginners versus advanced tournament players, or what the schedule looks like for our summer camps, feel free to reach out. We are building players from the ground up in Navi Mumbai, one drill at a time.
