Detailed Ink and Stippling Artworks

Thousands of dots, fine lines, and endless patience. Explore my original ink drawings, where every detail is built by hand using archival Micron and Staedtler pens.

This stippling artwork of holding hands is one of my most meaningful pieces. Created entirely from dots, it represents support, connection, and the comfort of togetherness.

An architectural drawing of the Eiffel Tower. For this piece, I experimented by combining different ink techniques, including line art, stippling, and scribbling, to create texture and depth.

A stippling self-portrait where every feature and shadow is built from individual ink dots. This technique is slow and meditative, but the final textured result is unlike any other drawing style.

This video compares the real-time speed of stippling versus the hyper-lapse videos often seen online. It shows the true amount of time and effort that goes into creating a single piece of dot work.

The original stippling artwork of the holding hands on my desk, next to the Micron pens I used to create it. This shows the piece in its raw, unfiltered form.

About this collection

Because I use the stippling technique, each piece is built up dot by tiny dot using archival-grade ink on 300 GSM paper. It is a slow, quiet process that results in a unique texture you just do not get with prints. If you are looking to commission something, keep in mind this is not a quick sketch, as it is a detailed, meditative process. Please allow me enough time to get the shading and precision right for your specific request.

Ink drawing is my way of slowing down. Whether I am working on a portrait or an architectural study, the process is always the same: thousands of fine, deliberate marks. Using fine-tip pens from brands like Micron and Staedtler, I build contrast and depth without using a single brush stroke.

Why Stippling?

Stippling, or creating an image entirely through dot-work, takes hours of focus. It is not about speed. It is about control. I find this technique incredibly meditative, and I think it shows in the final piece. Because there is no room for error, every drawing is truly original. I use 200-300 GSM artist-grade paper to ensure these works last, and every piece comes framed in a standard black or white synthetic wood frame with glass, ready for your wall.

What to Expect

When you commission a custom ink drawing, you are getting a hand-signed original. I do not use templates or filters. Whether it is a realistic portrait or a stylized doodle, my goal is to create something that carries the energy I put into it. If you are buying a pre-made piece from my collection, it will arrive securely packed with corner protectors and bubble wrap, exactly as I have described.

Customizing Your Art

I am open to custom ink commissions, but please understand the time involved. If you have a specific scene, person, or architectural detail you want captured in ink, feel free to reach out. We can discuss your vision, the level of detail required, and the timeline, so I can ensure the final piece is exactly what you hoped for.

Hey, I am Naina, or as I like to call myself, The Messy Hand. I do not believe in perfect, polished art. I believe in the beauty of a pen, a piece of paper, and hours of patience to bring a drawing to life.
