Vibrant Landscapes & Still Life Paintings

I use bold color and thick texture to capture quiet moments, from still life studies to vast landscapes. Every piece is painted by hand in my studio, embracing the messy, honest process of creation.

A tranquil landscape painting featuring a boat on calm water, created with acrylics and a palette knife. The thick application of paint adds a tangible texture to the clouds and water reflections. This piece is available for sale.

My first realistic artwork using oil pastels, featuring a still life of lemons and mint. I was amazed by the smooth blending capabilities of this medium, which allowed me to create vibrant colors and soft shadows.

A wildlife painting of a leopard, done in oil colors on canvas. This was my attempt at a hyper-realistic style, focusing on the intense gaze of the eyes and the detailed pattern of the fur.

An expressive watercolor painting of a starry night sky over a forest silhouette. Even though I felt it was a 'bad attempt' at the time, I love the vibrant, unpredictable way the colors blended.

A watercolor study of a watermelon. This was a practice piece to explore the textures and fresh colors of the fruit using the wet-on-wet watercolor technique.

Me at my easel, working on the boat landscape painting. My paint-splattered hand and palette show the messy, hands-on process I love.

Taking a moment to look at my progress on the boat painting. It's important to step back and see the whole picture as it comes together.

About this collection

When I work with acrylics, I often reach for a palette knife instead of a brush to build thick, heavy texture. It makes the clouds feel layered and the water ripple in a way a flat brush stroke just cannot match, adding a tactile quality to the landscape that you can actually see and touch.

My approach to painting changes depending on what I am trying to capture. While palette knives give me the grit and texture I love for landscapes, I switch to oil pastels when I want to explore the smooth, vibrant blending needed for a good still life.

I treat every canvas like a learning experiment. You will often see me share my process, including the ones that did not go quite as planned, because the 'mess' is where I learn. Whether it is a study of lemons or a scene of a boat on calm water, I want these paintings to feel real and accessible, not like something that belongs behind a velvet rope.

How I finish my work

  • Canvas Work: My acrylic and oil canvas pieces are gallery-wrapped. This means the sides are painted, so you can hang them directly on your wall without needing an extra frame.
  • Paper Work: For my smaller pastel and watercolor studies, I use archival-grade paper and protect them with glass frames to keep the pigments safe from dust and humidity.
  • Shipping: Every piece I send out is packed with care using corner protectors and heavy-duty wrapping. I want to make sure the work arrives at your door looking exactly as it did when it left my easel.

If you are looking for art that adds a bit of warmth and a personal story to your space, you are in the right place.

I'm Naina. My studio is where I let the mess happen, trusting that the best art comes when you stop trying to be perfect. Painting is how I slow down, and I hope these pieces bring that same calm to your home.
