Clothes that let kids run, jump, and explore. Every piece here is designed with soft, breathable cotton because I believe the most beautiful thing a child can wear is comfort.

This is what it's all about for me. A happy child, free to run and explore in clothes that are as comfortable as they are stylish. This handwoven Ikat shirt is one of my signature pieces, made from 100% breathable cotton so nothing gets in the way of playtime.

The pure joy of swinging high! I designed this 'Pakshi' (bird) print kurta to be versatile and fun. It's light enough for a warm day at the park and can be worn as a dress or paired with pants, making it a piece she'll reach for again and again.

Capturing those precious, happy moments. This little one is all smiles in our black and white printed cotton romper. I make sure my infant wear is incredibly soft on delicate skin and easy for parents to manage, with simple openings for quick changes.

For the littlest members of our tribe, I created this simple jhabla and bloomer set. Made from pure, breathable cotton with a classic stripe, it’s a perfect everyday outfit that keeps babies cool and comfortable.

From a bolt of fabric to a finished shirt, this is how my creations come to life. I personally select every fabric, like this fun elephant print, and oversee the process to ensure each piece is made with care and ethical practices.

It makes my day to see my clothes travel the world! This feedback from a mom on vacation says it all: my outfits are comfortable for all-day wear and compact enough for a suitcase. That’s practical fashion for real families.

I love incorporating traditional Indian crafts into my designs. This breezy frock features a beautiful block print with birds and flowers, and the tie-up shoulders make it adjustable as your child grows. It's a simple, timeless piece made for sunny days.

About this collection

When you hold these pieces, you will notice the lining immediately. Every dress and frock is fully lined with soft Mulmul (voile) to make sure nothing scratches sensitive skin, even after a long day of play. This detail means you do not need to worry about extra undershirts or chafing, and it makes the fabric breathable enough for our humid weather.

I started The Little Stitch because I wanted clothes that were as free and joyful as my own child. You will not find stiff synthetics or scratchy sequins here. Instead, I focus on breathable fabrics like 100% natural cotton and handwoven Ikat.

Why choose handmade for your child?

  • Gentle on skin: Our clothes are Azo-free and feature soft, tag-free labels, which prevents irritation for kids with sensitive skin.
  • Built for movement: Whether it is our signature Ikat shirts or our breezy frocks, the cuts are non-restrictive. Your child can climb, jump, and nap without the clothes getting in the way.
  • Versatile utility: Many of our kurtas double as dresses, and our rompers come with generous diaper allowances. These are pieces made to be worn, outgrown, and loved, not just stored away for special occasions.

By choosing these pieces, you are also supporting a cycle of ethical production, where skilled artisans are paid fairly for their craft. It is simple, conscious clothing designed to make everyday moments feel special. Every print is handpicked by me, and every seam is stitched with the intention of lasting through playdates, park trips, and long vacations.

Hi, I am Rashmi. I started this journey because I wanted to create clothes that let kids be kids. Every piece you see is a result of me picking fabrics, testing comfort levels, and working with small teams of artisans to make sure what touches your child’s skin is as soft and safe as it can be.
