We believe in slow fashion. See how we turn traditional Indian fabrics and natural dyes into comfortable, durable clothes for your little ones.

This is where the magic begins. The process of block printing is done one block at a time, with a steady hand and incredible precision. This is how our beautiful fabrics are made before they are stitched into clothes.

From fabric to fashion. This video shows the journey of our elephant print fabric, from being cut by hand to being stitched into an adorable collared shirt. This is the care that goes into every piece.

In the making. A glimpse of one of our skilled artisans at the sewing machine, carefully stitching an Ikat fabric piece. Every stitch is a part of the story.

Our clothes are made from 100% organic cotton, which is breathable, soft, and naturally hypoallergenic. This makes them perfect for little adventurers with sensitive skin, allowing them to breathe easy and play freely.

Did you know we do in-house printing for some of our collections? This little guy is wearing one of our special prints, created with love right here at The Little Stitch.

Comfy cottons, keen kantha, and beautiful block prints. This video captures the aesthetic of my brand, which is all about embracing sustainable, handcrafted techniques.

From the far lands of West Bengal, we bring the handwork of Katha for your little ones. This video shows our Katha stitch shorts, a beautiful example of embracing India's rich craft heritage.

About this collection

Every piece we make is lined with soft cotton mulmul (voile) to ensure there is absolutely no scratchiness against delicate skin, even after repeated washes. When we work with traditional fabrics like handwoven Ikat or block prints, we prioritize that inner comfort just as much as the outer look so your child stays at ease throughout the day.

From Concept to Cloth

For me, The Little Stitch is about more than just making clothes. It is a journey. Everything starts with the search for the right fabric, whether it is locally sourced cotton or handwoven Ikat from artisans I have come to trust. My goal is to create clothing that feels as good as it looks.

The Art of the Detail

We steer clear of mass production. Instead, we focus on manual techniques. Our block printing is done one block at a time, and I am personally involved in selecting the prints—like our elephants, cars, or tropical abstracts—that make children excited to get dressed. We use Azo-free, natural dyes to keep things chemical-free and skin-friendly. This means the colors are gentle, safe, and made with the environment in mind.

Why the Lining Matters

I am a mother first, so I know how annoying scratchy seams or rough fabric can be. That is why our dresses and shirts are not just printed shells. We use a full body lining of soft cotton mulmul to prevent transparency and soak up sweat. We choose coconut shell or wooden buttons over plastic ones, and we ensure our elastic waistbands are soft enough not to dig into a toddler's tummy.

A Shared Journey

When you buy from us, you are supporting a chain of people: the weavers in West Bengal, the block printers, and my team at the workshop. We don't just 'make' clothes; we build them to be played in, washed, and passed down. It is my way of keeping traditional crafts alive while giving you something that actually lasts. If you have questions about the sizing or the specific craft behind a piece, just ask.

I am Rashmi, and I started this because I wanted clothes that were as free and joyful as my own child. I handle the design and sourcing personally, making sure every stitch supports the artisans who help bring these patterns to life.
