When designing for kids, I balance creativity with the actual eating experience. Most of my themed cakes use high-quality edible prints or minimal fondant to keep the texture soft, so you get the visual 'wow' factor without sacrificing the delicious, fresh sponge inside.
Every kid has that one obsession, whether it is a jungle safari, a favorite Marvel superhero, or a cartoon like Paw Patrol. My goal is to capture that excitement in a way that feels personal. I do not just slap a picture on a cake and call it a day. I try to weave in details that match the theme, like crushed biscuit 'dirt' for construction trucks or handmade fondant characters for a first birthday.
Since I bake from my home studio in Airoli, everything I make is fresh, eggless, and made to order. I avoid using tinned fillers, preferring quality ingredients like couverture chocolate for the sponge and ganache.
