Strength & Conditioning for Fighters
Building a fighter's engine is not about how you look, but how you move. I focus on raw power, combat endurance, and the mindset to keep going when everyone else quits.
Sunday is for individual motivation. Here I am in the gym, working on my own strength with barbell rows. A coach must lead by example.
Self-respect is earned through hard work. This is a weight training session, focusing on building raw strength with exercises like the bench press and cable flys.
This is what an MMA cardio workout looks like. It's chaotic, it's tough, and it builds the engine you need to keep fighting.
Building the next generation of strong fighters. I'm spotting a young athlete as she works on her barbell squats, building foundational strength.
Never give up. A fighter's strength is built in the gym. This is a chest workout using the cable machine to build pushing power.
Athletes are sharp in the mind and body. Our training includes functional fitness that improves time management, self-awareness, and control.
This is more than just a workout. We incorporate dynamic exercises like handstands and squats to build total body control and functional strength.
A moment of focus in the gym. Strength training is as much a mental exercise as it is physical.
Flexing the results of hard work. I believe in building real, natural muscle through consistent weight training.
I started going to the gym for fun, but now I'm in love with it. A glimpse into my personal shoulder press and bicep workout.
About Strength & Conditioning for Fighters
Stop chasing gym vanity and start training like a fighter. In this cluster, you won't see me chasing aesthetic muscles. I focus on compound movements—heavy barbell work, tire flips, and combat-specific HIIT circuits—designed to build an engine that actually holds up in a sparring session. If you are here to look good in the mirror, this isn't for you. If you are here to develop stamina that keeps you dominant when your opponent is gassed out, let's talk.
Building the Fighter's Engine
Most gym-goers focus on isolation exercises. Fighters do not have that luxury. My strength and conditioning program at the Delhi Martial Art Academy is designed to bridge the gap between lifting weights and real-world combat efficiency.
Why This Is Different
- Functional Power: We use tractor tires, heavy ropes, and functional free weights. The goal is explosive power, not just size.
- Conditioning for the Cage: I run HIIT circuits that simulate the chaotic pace of a fight round. You learn to perform at high heart rates because that is when the fight is won.
- No Shortcuts: There are no steroids or magic pills here. Just hard work, consistency, and discipline. You show up, you suffer, you get better.
Training Philosophy
I believe in the 'no pain, no gain' mantra. Whether you are prepping for a national tournament or just want to feel bulletproof in your daily life, the training methodology remains the same. You will work on your deadlifts and squats to build the foundation, and then we take it to the mat.
Who is this for?
This isn't a hobby class. Whether you are a total beginner looking to transform your fitness or a pro athlete sharpening their tools for the next event in Delhi, you need to understand that the mind is your real weapon. If you are ready to break your own limits in Tagore Garden, stop searching for excuses and start putting in the work.
