From the high-altitude deserts of Ladakh to the quiet monasteries of Spiti, I capture the raw, untamed beauty of the mountains from above.

The journey to Ladakh changes you. This aerial photograph of the iconic Pangong Tso lake shows the stark, beautiful contrast of the cold desert. The deep blues against the barren mountains are a sight I strive to capture, showcasing the unique landscapes I can film for travel and tourism projects.

The roads in Ladakh are like arteries on the land, each turn telling a story of a journey. This top-down shot of the winding mountain roads shows the beautiful, abstract patterns nature and man create together. It's a perspective you can only truly appreciate from the sky.

The Spiti river carving its way through the valley. This is a land of stark beauty and immense peace. Mention your travel partner and let's plan that Spiti Valley trip you've been dreaming of.

The Spiti River, a ribbon of turquoise flowing through the rugged Himalayan desert. Capturing this view required finding the perfect vantage point to show the river's journey through the vast canyon.

From green valleys to rivers of stone, this is the wild heart of Ladakh. This video captures the dramatic shift in landscape, including an aerial reveal of the majestic Maitreya Buddha statue in the Nubra Valley.

POV: Your heart belongs to the mountains. This is the feeling I get when the first light hits the snow-capped peaks in Himachal. It’s a moment of pure peace and connection.

जीवन कठिन हो रहा है, लगता है पहाड़ों के पीछे जाने का वक्त आ गया है. Sometimes, the mountains call, and you must go. This shot captures a group of trekkers dwarfed by the immense scale of the Himalayas.

पहाड़ों पर चले..?? The call of the mountains is a powerful one. This video is a journey from the clouds, as seen from an airplane window, down to the green valleys of Himachal, a place that always feels like coming home.

This was Manali, calm, beautiful, and full of life, as I captured it some time ago. My prayers are with the people of Himachal during difficult times. Nature's beauty is immense, but so is its power.

A memory of Manali nestled in the valley, surrounded by forests and clouds. I believe in capturing the essence of a place, its moments of peace before the storm.

About The Mighty Himalayas

Shooting in high-altitude environments requires more than just a drone. Because of thin air and unpredictable mountain winds, I focus on specific battery safety protocols and early morning golden hour planning to ensure we get stable, cinematic footage before the weather changes.

The mountains have a rhythm of their own, and capturing them from the air is as much about patience as it is about piloting. Whether I am shooting in the moon-like landscape of Lamayuru or the river-cut valleys of Spiti, the goal is to document the scale and silence of these places. I shoot in D-Log color profiles to preserve the dynamic range, which is crucial when dealing with the harsh contrast of snow-capped peaks against deep blue Himalayan skies.

My process for mountain shoots is entirely mobile. I carry reliable equipment like the DJI Mavic 3 to handle the battery performance shifts that happen at high altitudes. I do not just fly; I plan for the light. I prioritize sunrise and sunset shoots, as the terrain comes alive when shadows stretch across the valleys.

I have covered diverse terrains, from the high-altitude lakes in Ladakh to the lush, green valleys of Himachal. Whether you need a cinematic travel film or raw 4K footage for a documentary project, I approach every shoot with the philosophy that yatra ka pura anand lena chahiye (one should enjoy the entire journey). My role is to make sure your audience sees the mountains the same way I do: as a place of peace and perspective.

I am a Mumbai-based drone pilot who leaves the city behind whenever the mountains call. My drone is just a way to chase stories, capturing everything from the barren moonscapes of Lamayuru to the first light hitting the peaks in Himachal.
