Aerial Cinematography and Landscapes in Vietnam
Vietnam taught me that stillness exists even in the busiest places. These aerial shots capture the soul of Ha Long Bay, the vibrant incense villages, and stories written on the water.
A top-down view of a cruise boat on the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lying on the deck, I captured myself in the shot to give a sense of the scale and serenity of this incredible place.
Vietnam from above. This video showcases the stunning beauty of Ha Long Bay, from the iconic limestone islands to the cruise ships navigating the calm waters.
Some memories can never be replaced. A quiet sunset over Ha Long Bay, with boats sailing on the golden water. A truly magical and unforgettable moment.
POV: Don't plan too much, सबकुछ पहले से तय है. Everything is already decided. A philosophical moment while kayaking through the stunning scenery of Ninh Binh, often called "Ha Long Bay on land."
Wait for it. A dramatic drone reveal of the breathtaking landscape of Ha Long Bay, showing the countless limestone islands that rise from the water.
How's this one? A creative transition from me holding my drone at sunset to an amazing top-down shot of the incense village in Vietnam. This is the kind of visual storytelling I love to create.
Am I dreaming? The surreal, misty landscape of Ha Long Bay at sunset can feel like another world. It's moments like these that blur the line between reality and dreams.
A reminder to travel while you are young, because money comes back but time doesn't. Kayaking in the serene green waters of Vietnam, a perfect example of an experience that is worth more than any material possession.

An artistic long-exposure shot of elephant sculptures on the beach in Vietnam. It's a surreal and beautiful installation that looks even more magical against the moving water.
About Travels Beyond India: Vietnam
Capturing a landscape like Ha Long Bay from the air requires more than just a camera in the sky. I shoot in D-Log M using the DJI Mavic 3 to preserve the dynamic range of the limestone karsts against the emerald water. This allows me to handle the harsh, shifting light of the tropics without losing detail in the highlights or shadows, ensuring the final footage remains true to the calm I felt while flying.
Every location tells a story if you know how to look at it. In Vietnam, it was about finding the patterns in the chaos. When I shot the Quang Phu Cau incense village, it wasn't just about the bright red colors; it was about the top-down geometry of the drying bundles and the movement of the people below. My approach to travel cinematography is to move beyond standard establishing shots. I look for active tracks that follow a boat through the karst formations or hyperlapses that show how the light changes on the water.
I handle all editing myself using Adobe Premiere Pro, keeping the color grading natural to reflect the reality of the scene rather than applying heavy filters. Whether I am shooting for a travel documentary or a personal project, my goal is to create a visual diary that invites the viewer to feel the location. If you are looking for fresh perspectives on your next project, my gear and I are ready to travel anywhere the story takes us.

I see the world differently from behind a controller. Whether it is the limestone karsts of Vietnam or a sunrise in the Sahyadris, I am constantly chasing that feeling of peace and trying to bottle it for others to see.
