The mountains have a voice, and I love helping it speak. Here is a look at the snowy roads, misty lakes, and golden sunsets I have chased through the Himalayas.

Kashmir in winter felt like a dream. This film is a collection of my favorite moments, from the peaceful shikara rides and cozy houseboat stays to the stunning beauty of Aru Valley.

A golden winter sun hangs over a snow-covered village in Aru Valley, Kashmir. The long shadow of a lone walker adds a sense of scale and solitude to this peaceful scene.

A classic yellow shikara glides across the calm, misty waters of Dal Lake in Srinagar. This is the timeless, tranquil beauty of Kashmir.

A portrait of a Kashmiri man enjoying his hookah on a boat. Capturing the faces and traditions of a place is just as important as capturing its landscapes.

Holding up a Chinar leaf against the winter sun in a Kashmiri garden. It's the small, delicate details that often tell the biggest stories.

An aerial drone shot of the floating market and houseboats on Dal Lake, shrouded in morning fog. The scene is quiet, moody, and incredibly cinematic.

Horses and people make their way along a snowy path in Gulmarg, with the majestic, snow-capped mountains in the background. This is a glimpse into life in a Himalayan winter.

"Itna kuch toh hai khush hone ko." This reel is about finding happiness in the simple, beautiful moments of travel, like a boat ride on a misty lake in Kashmir.

The winter sun casts a beautiful light on the snow-dusted pine trees covering the slopes of a mountain in Kashmir. The landscape feels both vast and intimate.

A boatman paddles his shikara past the iconic houseboats of Dal Lake. The scene is full of character, reflecting the unique way of life on the water.

About Himalayan Escapes: Kashmir & Spiti

My Himalayan films are not just pretty travel montages. I focus on the real stuff, like the freezing morning chai, the long, quiet drives through winding passes, and the rhythm of local life on Dal Lake. If you want a film that captures the actual experience of your trek or road trip, rather than a generic highlights reel, I can help you build that story.

Beyond the view

When I head to the mountains, my goal isn't just to get a 'wow' shot. It is to capture the stillness. Whether I am filming a shikara ride in Kashmir or a desolate stretch of road in Spiti, I use a mix of equipment to tell the full story. My DJI Mini 4 Pro helps me show the scale of the valley, while my mirrorless cameras capture the intimate details, like a steaming cup of kahwa or the way the light hits the Chinar leaves.

Why I shoot this way

I believe in narrative editing. Instead of throwing together random clips set to music, I build a story arc: the journey, the arrival, the experience. I also pay close attention to sound design—the sound of wind, footsteps in the snow, or the local ambient noise—to make you feel like you are standing right there with me.

Practical details for your trip

If you are planning a Himalayan trip and want me to document it, here is how I work:

  • Flexibility is key: Mountain weather is unpredictable. My kit is mobile, and I am used to adjusting on the fly when the clouds roll in or a road gets blocked.
  • Story-first approach: We will discuss the vibe you want before we leave. Do you want a moody, cinematic film or a fast-paced travel vlog? We will decide that first.
  • Gear: I pack light but smart. I use gimbalsocarry gimbals for smooth movement and action cams for POV shots during treks.

If you have a journey coming up, let us talk about how to turn it into a film that you will actually want to watch five years from now.
