Designing Raffaele's Pizzeria: A Rustic & Raw Concept
For this Indiranagar pizzeria, we focused on a 'rustic and raw' theme to create a space that feels authentic. From exposed brickwork to hand-painted murals, every element was selected to command attention from the busy street outside.
An isometric 3D render of the pizzeria's layout, showcasing the flow from the outdoor patio to the main dining area. This view was crucial for planning the spatial arrangement and establishing the design language of exposed brick and arches.
Custom-made, wall-mounted swing-arm lamps illuminate a large, hand-painted mural, creating a dramatic feature wall. The vibrant red of the booth seating provides a bold splash of color against the rustic backdrop.

This render focuses on the facade and entrance to the patio, highlighting the use of planters and varied lighting to attract passersby on a busy street.

About Project: Raffaele's Pizzeria - Rustic & Raw Charm
Creating a 'rustic' look is not just about placing bricks on a wall. At Raffaele's, the real challenge was the street-facing design. Since the site sits on a high-traffic road in Indiranagar, we engineered a facade that works as a visual hook, using angled MS metal members and layered lighting to convert passersby into patrons before they even see the menu.
Designing for Impact in Indiranagar
Hospitality design requires more than just an aesthetic theme. It requires a deep understanding of how a space functions for both the customer and the business owner. For Raffaele's Pizzeria, our client brief was simple yet demanding: rustic, raw, and inviting.
We began by mapping out the spatial flow. The pizzeria is a 60-seater, which meant we had to balance high capacity with a layout that still felt cozy. We utilized 3D rendering to finalize the placement of the wood-fired pizza oven—the heart of the kitchen—ensuring the chefs had enough room to operate while the aromas drew customers in.
The Material Palette
To achieve the 'raw' look, we relied on honest, structural materials. We chose semi-plastered exposed brick walls to provide texture, paired with arched features to break the monotony of the straight lines. The furniture uses vintage finishes that complement the industrial ceiling design, which features open ducts and track lighting.
We also designed custom wall-mounted swing-arm lamps to illuminate a large, hand-painted mural. This wasn't just decoration; it was a lighting solution to create drama in the dining area. For the outdoor patio, we focused on string lights and planters to create a streetside presence that feels like an extension of the sidewalk, making the restaurant accessible and visible from the road.
Our Process: From Render to Reality
What you see in these images is the result of a precise documentation process. Before construction began, we generated:
- Technical 2D floor plans for precise seating and circulation paths.
- 3D visualizations to test our theory on the facade visibility.
- Lighting schemes to ensure the mood shifted from day to night effectively.
We don't just draft plans and walk away. We manage the build to ensure the vision translates accurately. Whether it's the exact shade of the archway or the placement of the signage, we stay involved until the space is ready for service.
