About Project: Pasta Street - A Vibrant Italian Eatery
The success of Pasta Street wasn't just in its aesthetic, but in our granular approach to spatial planning. We mapped out a 4,245 sq. ft. area to accommodate 133 diners without sacrificing flow, utilizing custom metal fabrication and patterned flooring to delineate different dining zones. This level of technical planning is how we ensure your restaurant is as functional as it is inviting, long before the first coat of paint is applied.
For the Pasta Street project, our goal was to deliver a space that captured the essence of an Italian eatery while functioning efficiently as a high-traffic commercial venue. The design relies on the contrast between raw, industrial materials and refined, warm accents.
The Material Palette
We introduced a mix of textures to ground the design. Exposed brick and cement finishes provide a rustic base, which we paired with custom metal structural grids and perforated sheets. These industrial elements are balanced by polished stone counters and warm, fluted wood panels. By using high-contrast materials, we created visual depth that makes the space feel layered rather than flat.
Spatial Efficiency
When designing a 133-seat restaurant, flow is paramount. We implemented a split-level seating arrangement to create distinct pockets of dining. This allows for both intimate booths and open communal areas within the same footprint. Our spatial planning includes dedicated service stations and a bar area that remains accessible for staff while serving as a visual focal point for customers.
The Technical Foundation
Beyond the visuals, we focus heavily on the 'hidden' layer of restaurant design. This includes:
- MEP Integration: Planning electrical loops, HVAC ducting, and plumbing points to ensure the kitchen and bar operate smoothly.
- Lighting Design: Using a mix of track lighting for product focus and low-hanging filament bulbs for mood.
- Custom Fabrication: We don't rely on catalogs. For this project, we fabricated the seating bases and partitions in-house to ensure every inch of the floor plan was utilized effectively.
We approach every commercial project with the same rigor, moving from 3D renders and technical floor plans to the actual construction, ensuring that the reality of the space matches the original vision.
