We design educational and public spaces that blend with the local landscape, fostering learning and community engagement.

This is the proposed site plan for a new school campus near Ahmednagar. Our master plan strategically places the new primary school, a public library, and outdoor recreational areas to create a cohesive and integrated educational environment that respects the existing landscape.

These architectural renderings show our vision for the school's exterior. The design uses a combination of earthy terracotta jali screens for ventilation and playful pops of color, creating a building that is both contextually appropriate and stimulating for young students.

Our design emphasizes the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. This rendering shows open corridors, shaded courtyards, and large circular openings that frame views of the landscape, encouraging learning and play to happen everywhere on campus.

The proposed design includes a public library with an integrated outdoor amphitheater, creating a valuable community hub. The interior rendering shows a bright, airy, double-height library space designed to be a welcoming and inspiring place for study and reading.

About Community & Institutional Projects

When planning this school campus near Ahmednagar, our focus was on maintaining porosity between the buildings and the landscape. We used terracotta jali screens and strategically placed courtyards to facilitate passive cooling and provide shaded, naturally lit spaces for students, balancing utility with a playful architectural aesthetic.

The Sona University Library is conceived as a vertical campus, with a striking facade of glass, stone, and jali screens. The design stacks diverse functions, from the library and auditorium to residential floors, creating a vibrant academic and cultural hub for the university.38
The double-height reading room at Sona University is bathed in natural northern light, creating an inspiring and comfortable environment for study. The tall windows and clean lines connect the interior with the surrounding landscape, promoting focus and well-being.
We believe architecture should facilitate human connection. Here at the Sona University Centre, the grand staircase seating provides a perfect spot for students to pause, engage in quiet conversations, and build the friendships that define the campus experience.

Designing Educational Spaces that Foster Community

The classrooms are designed with large windows and jaali screens that allow for cross-ventilation and balanced natural light, creating a comfortable learning environment even in a hot climate.
The climate in Talaricheruvu can reach 48 degrees Celsius. The extensive canopy, made from over 12,000 locally sourced bamboo poles, provides crucial shade and respite from the summer heat.
