About Inside Our Joyful Group Classes
In these sessions, you will not find rigid scales or intimidating vocal drills. Instead, we gather to sing Bollywood classics, soulful bhajans, and folk songs in a space where 'wrong notes' simply do not exist. We focus on breathing techniques like Omkar meditation to help you release stress, ensuring that every participant—regardless of age or experience—leaves feeling lighter and more connected.
At Swarmaanas, my philosophy is simple: 'Gaana Aaye Ya Na Aaye, Gaana Chaahiye!' (Whether you know how to sing or not, you must sing!). Many of our students arrive shy, often having been told in the past that they do not have a 'good' voice. My goal is to dismantle that fear. In our group classes, we do not aim for performance perfection or professional training. We aim for vocal wellness. We are a community of women of all ages—mothers, professionals, and students—who support each other through music.
We structure our sessions to be therapeutic. We use diaphragmatic breathing, facial expression coaching, and simple vocal modulation exercises to turn singing into a form of stress relief. Whether we are singing a light Bollywood track or a traditional Bhaktigeet, the focus is always on 'bhaav' (emotion). You will find yourself laughing, maybe shedding a happy tear, and certainly finding your natural rhythm without the pressure of judgment. Located in Dadar West, our center offers a safe, air-conditioned environment for these sessions. It is less of a classroom and more of a sanctuary where music acts as a healer.
Swarmaanas
I am Manasi Kelkar Tambe, and I believe your voice is for your own happiness, not for anyone else's approval. My classes are a judgment-free zone where we prioritize emotional release and community over technical perfection. Come as you are, and let us sing together.
