My Coaching Philosophy: Training for Results

Victory starts in the mind. I build complete athletes, not just strong bodies, using a no-nonsense approach to strength, speed, and mental toughness.

"Think WHAT to bowl, not HOW to bowl." This is my advice to experienced fast bowlers. Instead of changing your natural action, focus on mastering variations like yorkers, cutters, and bouncers. Strategy wins matches.

A simple but powerful message on the whiteboard. At a certain level, the focus must shift from overhauling technique to mastering tactical execution. Your natural skill is your strength; sharpen it.

As a strength and conditioning coach, I must practice what I preach. I follow the same principles of lifting, plyometrics, and conditioning that I program for my athletes. This allows me to understand the movements deeply and coach them more effectively.

Creatine Monohydrate is one of the most researched and effective supplements for athletes. It helps regenerate energy faster, allowing for higher work capacity during high-intensity sports. I recommend a loading phase followed by a maintenance dose for best results.

This video explains my approach to programming using a mesocycle. I keep the program consistent for about 4 weeks with progressive overload, allowing the athlete's body to adapt and get stronger, as I'm demonstrating here with my own back squat progression.

It's all about progress, no matter where you start. Here, a client works on assisted pull-ups and band pull-aparts. My goal is to help every individual move forward and get stronger, one step at a time.

About My Coaching Philosophy

You won't find generic gym routines here. I program in four-week mesocycles, meaning every lift, sprint, and jump you do is designed to increase your specific output on the pitch or the course. We track your progress, adjust the load, and ensure your strength gains actually transfer to your sport.

My approach is simple: 'Man ke jeete jeet hai'. If your mind is locked in, the body will follow. I don't believe in chasing perfection, I believe in chasing progress.

No Guesswork

I treat your training like a career, not a hobby. When you join my cohort or 1-on-1 sessions, we move past 'just lifting weights'. We focus on energy system development. Whether you are a batter needing explosive rotational power or a bowler requiring faster recovery between spells, we train to your specific requirements.

The Method

  • Progressive Overload: We stick to a plan for four weeks. This allows your body to adapt and get stronger. We don't change exercises every day just to look busy.
  • Sport-Specific Power: We pair heavy compound lifts with explosive plyometrics. This contrast training is how we build the speed that shows up when you are in the middle of a game.
  • Injury-Proofing: The best ability is availability. We use specific mobility drills and rehab protocols to make sure you stay on the field, not on the sidelines.

I train alongside my athletes because I need to feel the work I program. I need to know the movement is effective before I ask you to do it. It is about building a community of athletes who understand the 'why' behind every rep. If you are ready to put in the work, I am here to lead the way.

I’m Surya. I spend my days either coaching athletes in the gym or chasing mountain trails on my bike. We don’t do fluff here—just hard work, shared goals, and a community that pushes you to move a little faster and lift a little heavier every single day.
