Naming Ceremony Stage & Cradle Decor
Centerpiece & Props
- Wooden Cradle: Rental of a standard swing-type cradle suitable for the ceremony.
- Cradle Styling: Decorated with Marigold garlands and mango leaves (Standard) or floral strings and fabric bows (Premium).
- Themed Prop: Includes one major 6ft structure like a Crescent Moon or Peacock cutout adorned with high-quality artificial blooms and fresh foliage.
Backdrop & Stage
- Dimensions: Covers an area of 8ft (Height) x 10ft (Width).
- Draping: Double-layer satin or knitted fabric in choice of Pink, Blue, White, or Golden Yellow.
- Lighting: LED Fairy light strings placed behind drapes for a soft glow.
- Flooring: 10x10ft Red or Green rug to define the stage area.
Floral & Logistics
- Fresh Flowers: 2 to 3 kgs of loose Marigold or Sewanthi used for borders and rituals.
- Signage: Thermo-col or sun-board cutout displaying the baby's name or generic ceremony text.
- Service: Includes transport within city limits, setup (2-3 hours prior), and dismantling.

The Throne Setup
- Royal Chair: High-back chair with Gold or Silver finish and cushioning for the mother-to-be.
- Accessories: Matching decorated footrest stool and two large traditional brass lamps (oil and wicks provided by client).
Backdrop Styling
- Wall Size: 8ft x 8ft full coverage.
- Material Choice:
- Option A: Fresh Green Betel Leaves pinned in a dense, uniform pattern.
- Option B: Marigold Grid (Checkered style) with yellow and orange garlands.
- Motif: Central Gold silhouette of 'Mother & Child' or a Lotus motif attached to the leaf wall.
Traditional Accents
- Entrance: Fresh flower Toran (Marigold and Mango leaf) across the top frame.
- Ritual Items: Loose fresh flowers provided for the foot of the chair.
- Fruit Decor: Decoration of 2 to 3 fruit platters (baskets provided by us, fruits provided by client).
Housewarming Entrance Arch (Thoranam)
Structure & Weaving
- Coconut Leaf Art: Manual weaving of green coconut fronds to cover the main gate or front door pillars.
- Pillars: Installation of two full-sized fresh Banana Stems (Baale Dindu) tied to the entrance pillars.
Floral Work
- Toran: Thick 3 to 4 inch diameter garland made of fresh Marigold and Mango leaves running across the top frame.
- Hangings: Vertical floral strings (Ladis) hanging from the arch at regular intervals.
- Quality: 100% fresh flowers used for the main arch without artificial fillers.
Installation
- Door Frame: localized floral pinning on the main wooden door frame.
- Safety: Secure tying using jute ropes to avoid nail damage to new walls; includes ladder work.
Home Puja Mantap Setup
Mantap Structure
- Dimensions: Compact 4ft Width x 6ft Height suitable for indoor puja rooms.
- Design: Simple U-shaped floral arch or a flat backdrop wall made of banana leaves/checkered flowers.
- Platform: Raised wooden plank or table covered in satin cloth for placing the idol or Kalasha.
Decoration Details
- Flowers: Predominantly Yellow/Orange Marigold and White Chrysanthemum.
- Traditional Elements: Two small banana stems tied to the vertical poles.
- Lighting: One serial light set included to highlight the deity.
- Timings: Setup completed the evening prior; removal done the day after the festival.

Baby’s Naming Ceremony (Namakarana)
- The cradle (thottilu) gets all the attention, decked out with fresh flowers and soft cloth.
- Backdrops for photos can be simple or grand - coconut leaf weaving, flower walls, or even cartoon themes if kids are around.
- Crescent moon setups are a hit, but I do peacock themes too. If you want pure Namakarana cradle decoration, I’ve got that covered.
Baby Shower (Seemantha)
- The mom-to-be sits on a throne-style chair, surrounded by marigold garlands, banana leaves, and lotus shapes.
- Seemantha flower backdrop is something I love doing - it gives the space that “blessed” vibe.
New Home Pooja (Gruhapravesha)
- First look matters. I set up authentic Gruhapravesha entrance arches (thoranam) with coconut leaves, banana trunks, and loads of marigold.
- Everything feels welcoming and proper for the occasion.
Festivals & Pujas
- I handle mantap setups for pujas, festival decor for Varamahalakshmi, and divine backdrops using all the right materials - fresh flowers, mango leaves, banana leaves.
