Sculptural Interiors and Parametric Design in Mumbai

At the Parinee Lobby, we moved away from static furniture. The seating is a result of computational algorithms, designed to mirror the faceted ceiling above. Because we use CNC-milled fabrication, the alignment of every joint is precise, allowing us to maintain a seamless sculptural form that feels like a singular piece of architecture rather than a collection of separate benches.

Design in our studio begins with computational logic. For the Parinee project, we used parametric software to generate geometries that respond to the constraints of the existing structure. This allows us to push boundaries in form while ensuring the structural skeleton can support the sculptural skin.

We prioritize performance-driven results. In this lobby, the faceted seating serves as a functional rest area while doubling as a visual anchor. By relying on digital fabrication techniques like CNC-milled marble and PVD-coated steel, we eliminate the margin for error found in traditional construction methods. Every angle you see in these images was calculated for optical flow and physical comfort. We document these designs down to the nesting files and flattened drawings required by fabricators, ensuring the final output matches the initial digital model. Whether it is a lobby or a product, our goal remains constant: creating functional objects that stand as art.
