We view furniture as an extension of architecture, using light, shadow, and material to define the spaces where you live and work.

The Artist Residency at Farm8, where the structure becomes a lantern in the landscape. The design uses a lightweight steel frame and a bamboo exoskeleton to create a series of porous, in-between spaces that blur the line between the building and the surrounding nature, especially as light filters through by day and glows from within at night.

A view into a high-end jewelry showroom in Lucknow, designed to feel like a precious box. We used a suspended brass mesh structure to define the space and act as a lighting fixture, creating a dramatic contrast with the dark, coarse walls and polished marble counters.

This modular shelving system in a Sarvapriya Vihar residence is an example of furniture as spatial planning. The open-backed plywood and wood units create storage and display areas while maintaining a sense of lightness and connection between different zones of the room.

An exploration of light and shadow at Studio Tarai. The slatted steel pergola and wall screens are not just structural; they are designed to catch the sun and cast dynamic geometric patterns across the brick floor, making light a tangible material that changes throughout the day.

In this Lucknow penthouse, we used custom 'lantern' partitions to divide an open-plan living area. These fixtures integrate local Chikankari craft into backlit panels, creating soft, patterned light that defines the space and serves as a unique architectural feature.

To achieve a feeling of openness in this office, we designed walls and storage units that dematerialize. Using translucent panels and a minimal frame, these partitions allow natural light to penetrate deep into the space, eliminating opaque barriers and creating a bright, collaborative environment.

A detail of our custom-designed dining set, showcasing the intersection of material and form. The chair combines the warmth of teak wood and woven rattan with a clean, modern geometry, reflecting our commitment to handcrafted quality and timeless design in residential furniture.

About this collection

Every custom piece we create, from a brass mesh partition to a steel-framed desk, is designed to manipulate light and movement. Instead of simply filling a room, our fixtures—such as the lantern partitions in our Lucknow projects or the louvers in our New Delhi workspaces—are calibrated to change the atmosphere of your space throughout the day.

We do not treat furniture as a decorative object. To us, a partition is a wall, a desk is a structural anchor, and a screen is a lighting device. Our process begins with spatial planning, identifying how you move through a room and where natural light needs to travel. We utilize industrial materials like powder-coated steel box sections alongside the warmth of teak and plywood to create structural integrity that feels light.

Whether we are designing a plug-in facade system for a workspace in New Delhi or lantern-style partitions in a Lucknow residence, our aim remains the same: to remove opaque barriers. We incorporate elements like perforated metal, glass, or stainless steel mesh to filter light, creating patterns that shift as the sun moves. For residential clients, this means custom cabinetry that integrates into the geometry of the room. For commercial projects, this involves modular steel grids that define zones without closing them off. Everything we build is fabricated for longevity, utilizing knock-down joinery and honest material finishes that age well over time.
