Sip your morning coffee or chai from a mug that has a story. Our hand-thrown stoneware pieces bring warmth to your daily routine, finished in custom glazes we mix right here in our studio.

Our Languid Magic glaze is truly unpredictable. This faceted mug shows off the warm, wood-brown tones that can result from the firing.

This Shino coffee cup holds about 275ml, the perfect size for a cappuccino. The faceted sides feel great to hold, and the Shino glaze has a beautiful, subtle texture.

We love experimenting with glaze combinations. This is our 'half-half' mug, a result of a recent test that we will definitely be making more of.

Simple, elegant, and perfect for a cup of chai. We designed these small cups to be comfortable to hold and a joy to use every day.

Our tumblers in the 'White Rabbit' glaze. It's a soft, speckled white that is both modern and timeless. Perfect for water, juice, or an iced coffee.

The Languid Magic glaze can vary so much depending on its placement in the kiln. This mug has a slightly lighter, more golden hue.

This version of the Languid Magic mug shows a deeper, more uniform brown. It’s amazing how the same glaze can produce such different results.

About Handmade Mugs & Cups

Because we mix our own glazes and use a reduction firing process, each mug is slightly different. That Languid Magic finish you see might look more golden in one batch and darker brown in another, so while the shape stays the same, the surface personality is unique to your piece.

Every mug starts as a lump of clay on the wheel, trimmed by hand to ensure the weight and balance feel right in your grip. We use high-fired stoneware (Cone 10), which makes our cups sturdy enough for everyday use. Whether you need a 150ml cup for a quick morning chai or a 300ml vessel for a longer coffee session, these are built to last.

Why our glazes vary

We don't use factory-standard glazes. We experiment with chemical mixes like Shino, Tenmoku, and our signature Languid Magic. Because we fire in a reduction kiln, the exact outcome depends on where the piece sits during the firing. This is where the 'kiln gods' take over. One batch of the same mug might come out with subtle blue undertones, while the next has rich, deep browns. It keeps things exciting for us and gives you a one-of-a-kind object.

Practical care

While they look like artistic decor, these are functional tools. Every mug is microwave and dishwasher safe, and the non-porous stoneware won't hold onto old odors. The foot rings are trimmed smooth so they won't scratch your tables, and the handles are pulled for an ergonomic fit. If you are looking for a specific set for gifting or for a cafe, let us know. We can adjust the glaze finish or size to fit your needs.
